Exclamation has anyone used dupli-color chrome paint?

I have a few curve rash on my rims. I want to paint them this weekend. Has anyone used any type of chrome paint for their wheels?

Y not? From wat I'm thinking it's like painting any bike or metal item.. I'm gng to test it on something else before applying it to my wheels

I've tried to use it on my Chevelle-SS. Don't use it... It looks nothing like chrome. It seemed to have a matte finish to it. Looked like crap. I ended up just having my bumper re-chromed.

It costed me like $170, but this was like 12 years ago
Looking on the classic chevy forums, looks like that figure is still good today. Looks like folks are paying between $170 and $250 for a quality rechrome on their bumpers...

Bumpers are more expensive to chrome than wheels tho... For example, take a look at: CalChrome's website. They are advertising doing a 4-plate process for around $95 per wheel...

I tried it on the center caps on one of my other cars with chrome wheels. Can't understand how they advertise it as chrome paint.......The end result is that it looks nothing like chrome.

I used it once (for something else); it comes out as a highly reflective silver, not chrome.
