H&R Anti Roll Bar and eibach spring Suggestions/comments please!
Anyone have any experience with the H&R Anti Roll Bar:
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...104&perfCode=S
and Eibach spring set:
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...140&perfCode=S
For their cars?
Coming off from a 3 series, I am used to the handling on that car and not really used to the boaty feeling on my tl-s. Anyone have recommendations? I don't want to drop more than 1". Suggestions please!!!
Thanks!

"Boaty" feeling of the TL-S?
You sure you're not feeling the difference between RWD and FWD understeer?
Anyhow ....
The Eibach and Comptech Springs (made by Eibach according to posts) are the only 2 sets I know of that will drop the car only 1" with an expectation of a firmer ride. The Eibach spring is currently the only one with a specific fitment for the 3G TL-S.
A possible alternative is the A-Spec TL Springs, which I believe give a 0.75" drop and are reportedly firmer than the TL-S, but you may also need the dampers to get the full effect of the firmer A-Spec suspension.
The H&R RSB bar is 2mm thicker than stock. The Progress RSB is 4mm thicker (24mm v 20mm stock), also has adjustable mounting points and comes with Poly Bushings. The Progress RSB is also less expensive.
Getting to the Front Anti-roll bar is supposed to be a real bitch. Don't think many people have done it.
From what I've seen and read the more popular choices are the Eibach Prokit and the Progress RSB.

H&R Anti Roll bar-The rear bar is 22mm, which is teh same as the comptech one, and the handling difference is definitely apparent. I'm coming from a 5 series as well so I know what you mean, I've switched out to sport springs and RSB, and I can tell the difference, drives great! I've only heard great thing about the Eibach Prokit. Also, for the Antiroll bar, look into the progress one, it's thicker and should make more of a difference.

Just struck me as an unusual description for the TL-S suspension. I, however, am not coming from a BMW. My daily driver is an Impala repmobile - now *thats* boaty. lol.
Fk'n MXM4's suck. I'm sick of 'em. You're absolutelty right that you can't get anywhere near what the car is capable of with those tires. But at ~$700+ for new set of ??, I don't blame you for running some of the life out of them - I'm doing the same thing.
I've got the Progress RSB waiting to install and H&R sport springs on order (drop 1.4" F / 1.3" Rear). So it's not like I'm saying the TL-S susp is perfect, I'd like the body roll tightened up too.
Do a forum search on "Eibach" and/or "ProKit". Lot's of people running them and I don't recall reading anything but compliments.

H&R springs
I just bought a 2007 Type-S and am loving it. I am looking to give it a more aggressive look though and was wondering if anyone has experienced with the H&R Springs. This drops the car by 1.4" and 1.3" in the front and rear, respectively and was wondering if I can have the dealership install them. Also, do I need to buy anything else to support the change in springs? Thanks, in advance, for your help!

MANY recent threads on H&R Springs. Great mod IMO. Get the right part for the TL-S; H&R Sport Springs for the TL-S = H&R Part# 50106.
Each dealer decides on their own whether to install after market parts. Mine quoted $847 for install .
Best price I could find was $240 at a local indie that specializes in Honda's. Most were $300 - $350. I went DIY instead.

He has plenty of stock.
Just installed mine this weekend.
Posted a mini-DIY on "Progress 24mm rear anti-sway bar, nice" thread found elsewhere in this category.

Thanks...
Bearcat...Thanks for the links...great pics of your car...looks great. Just how difficult was it to install the sport springs and RARB? Also, apparently H&R makes a 28mm RARB which is 4mm larger than the Progressive RARB...any insights? I have a buddy who is willing to help me out with the mods, but I don't want us to get in over our heads. Also, tried calling Mike at ATLP yesterday, but no luck...got the voicemail...also emailed, but haven't received a response. Again, thanks for your insights! I greatly appreciate it!
Oh, Bearcat...noticed you had a "Stage 3" exhaust...what changes from the stock exhaust? How much did it cost? Did you DIY or have the dealership do it for you? Thanks again!

$40 for the Resonator; $95 for exhaust shop to install.
The 28mm H&R sway bar is for the FRONT. H&R Rear Sway Bar is 22mm. Progress 24mm plus H&R Sport springs on my TL-S is a GREAT combo. Word is the Front Sway Bar is a PITA to get to.

There are a handful of others, but you'll have to SEARCH - I don't have the links saved on this PC.

If you've got decent tools (variety of deep and short sockets, extensions, etc) a spring compressor and torque wrench (loaners from AutoZone) and you or your buddy have some experience, you can do it. An air gun is nice, especially for the spring compressor, but not absolutely necessary.
Search out all the suspension and RSB DIY's you can find here and you'll get all the info you need for success.
The RSB is pretty straight forward, especially with the suspension out of the way.
Hardest part is removing/re-installing the rear seats and routing the RSB in and out.
Overall, mechanically, I'd say 5/10 on a DIY Scale (7 or 8/10 on the NOOB scale). On the PITA scale, Shocks/Springs/RSB: 4/10; Seats 7/10. Fronts are easier than the Rears. (Your Mileage May Vary).
Hope that helps.
