Growing impatient with Function/Form
Growing impatient with Function/Form
Ordered F/F Type 2's/camber kit from Heeltoe, on 5/2.
Received camber kits same week, got the coilovers the following week.
Unfortunately, F/F sent me a box that clearly was labeled, "Acura 2004+ TSX".
Got a return shipping label, (after taking 2 days for them to get around to emailing that to me). The next day, Fri. 5/13, was shipped back to F/F via UPS. F/F says, 'as soon as we see the UPS scan of our return label, we'll ship out the correct box'.The first set, i had a tracking number and email confirmation, this time around nothing. Contact Heeltoe on Friday morning, get an email back around Noon saying 'they'll look into it'. Still waiting for that answer.
I just hate the difference between supporting local business/dealing in retail -- vs.-- shopping online/forum vendors/etc. Seems like in the world of the latter, once someone's got your money already, 'customer service' and reasonable timeliness of response/receipt is replaced by a 'stand in line' attitude.

that sucks man, hope everything works out.
i do have to vouch for heeltoe's customer service though. marcus has been great to work with when ordering a camber kit from him. easy to get on the phone, quick responses, very willing to help accomodate.
good luck with your situation man

Maybe I sound impatient, but as of today it has been 3 weeks since I have purchased these, and still haven't taken delivery of them-- if they were on backorder, that'd be one thing, but they weren't-- this second time around it seems like i just got bumped to 'the back of the line' like i said in my post, and no one has communicated with me to let me know otherwise. I think when someone makes a mistake, it's cool, just say, 'hey we screwed up but i want you to know it's important that we fix this for you as soon as possible.', not 'yeah. you did receive the wrong parts. what's that, your install you had scheduled? oh yeah, you should know better than to schedule an install until you actually have the parts in your hands" (even if you confirmed they were en route with tracking numbers on Priority Mail 2 day shipping?)--At some point i'm just going to have to go to Marcus for a refund and go another route. Or if I wait much longer, at least request 2 points as an interest dividend payment on the $1100 that's been floated for the month. (j/k)
Did you order the Function and Form Coils or the HT-Spec (by F&F). There is a difference and if you ordered the straight Function & Forms then they are actually only produced for the TSX and have to be modified (with the TL's tophat) to fit.

finally got contacted by Marcus yesterday, he was very sincere and apologetic, totally professional about it.
Assured me that out of all the transactions/dealings since the F/F partnership, this is one of the only times they've dropped the ball and he chose to work with them in the first place based on their customer service reputation.
He worked with the guys over at F/F to see what the F/up (lol) was, and got the correct set shipped out this way finally first thing this morning. Looks like I will receive it on Thursday. Hopefully will get installed on Saturday, then detail and post pics on Sunday/Monday, which will then get them a little bonus PR exposure to make up for this thread. And who knows, maybe Marcus will throw me an extra 5-10% discount on my next purchase or something in case I want to try again ordering thru Heeltoe...i've got a LOT of purchases lined up over the next 7 months to get my TL project completed to what I want it to be. Next up, either UR lightweight pulley, short shifter, engine torque dampener, RSB (depending on how the Type II's behave), or CAI-- what do you guys think I should do next out of that list? (i'm waiting to do J-pipe/exhaust work until i figure out the best setup from header to tailpipe, and have it planned out completely before just buying a j-pipe and then wanting to change it out for a different setup later).

do the comptech short shift adapter, my favorite mod so far and it was only 60 bucks on ebay. kind of a bitch to get the bushing off the stock shifter but after that it was fairly simple, about two hours total
update: i DID receive my coilovers, arrived yesterday at my buddy's shop-- need to get over there and check them out to make sure everythings on the up and up, which i'm sure this time around it's fine. Shop is closed this weekend, but scheduled to put them on next weekend, Sat the 28th i think? will post pics and update when that happens.
Is this true? Because I got my F&F's (not from HT) and it says it will fit the TL's. I have yet to put them on yet, but I do not want any issues during the installation.

There's your issue... j/k

I hope everything works out for you.. and I'm coming back to this thread to see the outcome as I am looking to get the same setup.
installed, looks and drives awesome. I actually like them set at full stiff on the front, and about 5 clicks above full stiff on the rear. Will try to get pics shortly, but car is set with a raked setup, because my mechanic won't go any lower in the rear until i roll the fender...
