Got my cross drilled rotors installed

I think I have been severely bitten by the mod bug. Last week I got new 20's. Today I had my new cross drilled rotors installed with some ceramic brake pads. Tomorrow I will be getting the tint removed and having it re-tinted. Saturday I am having a custom exhaust made and installed. I ordered the Type-S side markers and a roof spoiler which will hopefully be here Monday. When I get the roof spoiler painted next week, I am also having the grille painted NBP to match the rest of the car. I am also having a suede headliner installed next week. Someone stop me before I can't afford to eat. LOL. Anyway here are some pics with the rotors. I know the car is filthy but I haven't had time to wash it today. I just stopped home for 10 minutes to take these pics and post them.

Here's the front

Here's the rear

If you look at the top of the page in the Ron Jon ad, they are installed the same way.

I definitely notice a difference but I read that it takes a couple of hundred miles in order for the pads to fully seat so I guess that's when I'll really see the difference. And like I said in the last post, for the price I had to try them. That's half the cost of the other big names and the quality seems really good. Time will tell.

Can't find "quickstoppro" on e-bay; do you have a search term you used to find these on there?

Looks right to me. To the OP, you rubbin at all? It seems you got a nice tuck going even if you go over bumps. I do to, but I'm still rubbing underneath somewhere. I got 20s too, and may have t roll my fenders. I've been trying to avoid it.

I did have my fenders rolled but the place that I was rubbing was the a-spec rear lip. Right on the inside of the fender on the top screw. We cut a little piece of the corner off and removed the top screw and replaced it with automotive double sided tape and its been perfect ever since. If you remove your back wheel, you'll see where it's rubbin.

Their ebay name is quickstop!pro. This is an auction for them that's going on now but it ends in 6 hours. Their buy it now is $295 and I used the make an offer button and offered $225 and they accepted. You could even try offering a little less. I just did a search for Acura TL rotors. You'll find them, trust me. I've been looking at these for months.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought, from what I've read here, that the slots went the other direction from what's pictured. But, I've seen a lot of people here with them mounted like the OP.

Anybody that actually knows for sure care to explain?

Car is coming along very nicely edluv

Honestly, I don't know much about brakes, but it seems they are correct. They are going with the 'swirl' . If they were mounted 'against the grain' I thinking it would thrash the pads. Plus, it looks like that's the better way to mount them to dissapate heat. Hell... I got no clue. ANy experts wanna chime in? They just "look" right to me.

Looks sick. Only the calipers look a bit tiny for those huge wheels. The car looks low for eibach springs, like you don't have the wheel gap in the front. Do you have Koni yellows also?

Stock calipers, stock sized rotors and stock shocks. Just have the Eibach springs. Kind of did my early mods out of order. I'm contemplating getting coilovers. Haven't decided yet

Thank you sir...found them right away...the "!" made the difference in the search for the vendor.

Nice Rotors!! Not sure how they perform compare to say Rotora/Stoptech/Racing Brakes but they sure look nicer than all three brand slotted/drilled rotors!!

The front and rears are both done with EBC sport rotors and EBC red stuff pads. I am MOST PLEASED with them. No squeal, and awesome braking power (I did not change out to SS hoses either yet). When decellerating the pads on the rotors sound like a turbo boosting (low droan sound). A+ Recommended!

i am not 100% certain, but from what i have read the outside direction of slots/drills dont make the difference, its the vanes(sp?) inside the rotor that dictate the direction. i believe my RacingBrake rotors swirl forward while other brands swirl backwards like the OP's.

looks good though

So far so good. The performance has greatly improved for me. Gotta be careful not to stomp on the brakes. They definitely have a lot more bite than before. Good luck with yours.

PeteThaPitbull Thanks for the website. Ordered them last week and finally got them on this morning. Wow! They look great. The price with all front and back rotors and pads cant be beat! I cant wait to see them on my car. The quality looks A+++. But of course looks means nothing if they dont perform. Any reviews on your set so far? Again thanks!
