Appreciate the feedback
Thanks

the narrower the tires the better for snow. but between 215 and 205 there really isn't much difference. i would go with the 215-55 since it won't look so goofy with all that sidewall.

In Montreal a number of dealers have them as I have received many quotes up to now ... even my Acura dealer had them
However, I might buy mine from COSCO for 47$ canadian each ... have not decided yet !!!
I still have not decided if I should go with 215-55-16 or 205-60-16 ... the 205's are 20$ cheaper per tire !!!

Steel Wheels for a 6 MT?
I have been completely unsucessful in locating 17" steel wheels on which to mount winter tires for my 2004 TL Dynamic 6 speed. I have been universally told that I need to go with the factory alloy wheel/ winter tire package. Have you been told something different by a dealer in Montreal?

Rafiksao,
Do you have the manual or AT?? I also have been looking and no steel rims available anywhere. Can you send a web page or telephone number for the places you are going?? I would buy them in a minute (not a New York minute)

I think we can purchase the same as the 04 HOnda Accord 4dr. Our 5 bolt pattern is the same with the Accord. Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I think it should fit. So we can goto Honda to purchase the 16 steel rims for our snows!!!

Does anyone know if this is true? Will the stock honda 16" steel rim fit over the brakes on the acura? Is the offset/backspacing correct? Is this the correct steel wheel shown in this parst diagram?

I think you can find steel wheels for the AT model but not the 6-speed.
The problem is that steel wheels (and even many nicer rims) won't clear the Brembo calipers in front. The AT models don't have to worry about this problem.
Both tirerack.com and tires.com do have rims that will fit the 6MT. They are less expensive than the factory rims but still not cheap.

I, too, was looking for steel rims for the winter, but couldn't find any with the necessary clearance for the Brembo brakes as noted by Stewie, so I ended up buying a second set of OEM alloy wheels.

You Acura dealer should have 16'' steal RIM to fit your 04 TL AT. I have mine on since last week and everything is A-OK. I've put on the michelin Alpine PA2 and awaiting the first snow fall ...

Winter Wheels and Tires Finally Fitted to a 2004 6MT
I finally got winter wheels and tires fitted to my 2004 6MT TL. It was virtually impossible to get a straight answer from dealers and tire retailers about what would actually fit over the Brembo callipers.
To make a very long story short, I got aftermarket 17" alloy wheels and 235/45/17 HR Michelin Alpin 2 winter tires yesterday. These particular wheels actually have greater clearance than do the stock wheels.
All I now need is snow.

Call your local dealer and ask for the 16" steel rims for a 2003 Accord lx v-6 with the auto trans. You can see the part here

I have these for my tl and they fit great.

Zed what aftermarket wheels did you buy? I'm in the same boat. 6 spd and in an area that gets a fair amount of snow.
