Smile Fuel Economy and Air Pressure

I noticed that the fuel consumption was always stuck at 14 L/100km and I havent driven it hard in quite some time. Last night I decided to check the air pressure because its getting colder and I hadn't done so in a while. To my suprise, the tire pressure was only 25 psi! So I filled them all up to specs. Tonight I'm happy to report that the fuel consumption is 11 L/100km.

let me translate this to english. ;-)

14L/100km = 3.69G/62.137mi = 16.8mpg
11L/100km = 2.9G/62.137mi = 21mpg

which still sucks pretty badly unless you were all city stop and go driving.

Yep, all city driving, most during rush hour traffic. Anyone from Toronto knows what it's like on Steeles Ave. W. during this time. On our trip to Montreal, we got 7L/100km which is about 33 mpg.
