Front Strut Bar Removal?

Front Strut Bar Removal?

Trying to take off my strut bar to adjust my dampers. Removed all visable bolts that are holding the bar, but it still wont give... .... HELP!

Is the car hoisted in the air? If so, the bolts may be pushing laterally on the sides of the holes in the strut bar preventing you from lifting it up and off. Lower the car back onto the ground, and then take it off.

If you are ALREADY flat on the ground, then raise the car slightly w/ a jack on one side until you losen the grip of those bolts and then you'll be able to remove it.

There are three bolts per side... you'll have to toggle the height you raise the car to get it so that one side lets up and lets you yank the bar up and off.

didnt work... Got frustrated and quit... On top of that, i dropped a screw down behind the engine and cant get to it... BAH !!!!!!

there r i think 2 more screws that sumwhere in the middle of the tubes...hear both ends...i removed mine once...

Guys! The aspec sport suspension instructions are HERE in the garage. There are a couple of brackets that need to be removed, too. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I removed those screws too, thats the screw that dropped down behind the engine, now I cant retrieve it. I think I need to lift both front wheels off the ground to remove the Strut Bar....

yup....waaay easier to get the front strut bar if you jack up both front tires.

FINALLY GOT IT OFF!!!! Had to jack the car up in weird angles but it finally came off.... now im super happy with my suspension, 3 clicks to the hardest setting on both fronts and 8 in the rear....
