Front Brake Pads-'07 TL-S

Today I was cleaning my car and noticed that when cleaning the wheels that I am going to need front brake pads here within a couple months. I want to get Brembo pads, but I am a little confused. I was looking on eBay and found some for roughly $160 and when on Google found some priced at partsgeek for just under $60. My question is, are there pads I have found on partsgeek what I am needing? Another concern of mine is that part number they have listed is nothing close to what I have read that it is suppose to be. Here is the link!

If your set on Brembo pads, their site indicates that they make only one pad set for the TLS P28059N:
http://brembo.mycarparts.net/product..._id=3837315470
So, I'd say that's the one.

On ebay, the highest price pads are actually Acura OEM pads and although Brembo makes replacement pads doesn't mean they are up to or exceed OEM quality and/or specs, but I certainly wouldn't spend $160 on a set of pads as there are too many alternatives.

So I assume you are saying not to get the ones from partsgeek. I don't mind spending a little more money, but I just don't want to spend more money than I should. I went to the site you listed, but it didn't show a price!

The Brembo pads aren't anything special and they are over priced because they have the Brembo name on them. If you want great pads, look at the Stoptech Street Performance Pads. They are about $75 and you're not going to find a better performing pad for the money. They are made with a para-arimid compound which allows them to be a lower dust, lower noise pad when paired the performance they provide.

If you don't care for a lot of performance and just want a clean/quiet replacement, the Stoptech Posi-Quiet Ceramic pad is going to be a better option then the Brembos. You will get the same performance, if not a little better then stock, from these pads but they are more cost efficient at about $46.

I have both in stock.

So you would recommend the Stoptech Street Performance Pads over the OEM? I'm looking for new pads as well, want something just for the street and as good as OEM.

Also, what's the best way to order from you? Just through your site?

Hi - I'm also in the market for brake pads for my TL Type S. I'm not looking for performance but pads that are close to stock as possible with less dust. I just looked at your website and I don't see Stoptech Posi-Quiet Ceramic pads. I only see the street performance pads from stoptech.

IMHO, the best pad for the OE rotors are the OE Pads. $160 on Ebay is about right .... I got a set or two from Park Acura in Akron on ebay.

If you go aftermarket rotors and pads, StopTech or Racing Brake are good choices.

Sorry for the delay. I would definitely recommend the Stoptech Street Pads. They are made with a para-arimid compound which is designed to make them a lower dust/lower noise pad when paired the performance they provide. If you want something clean and quiet stick with the Posi-Quiet Ceramics. You can order on our website or over the phone, whichever you prefer.

Yea the Posi-Quiet pads aren't on our website. Give me a call and I'll put together a price for you. 2034836100 - ask for Casey.

I vote for the Wagner Thermo-Quiet Semi-Metallics, Part# MX1049.

Available form rockauto.com for a great price, only $25. Don't let that inexpensive price fool you. My best buddy from High School owned an auto parts store for 30 years and that's all he uses. No need to spend $160 for a set of pads. Make sure whatever pads you buy are for TL models equipped with Brembo brakes, '04-'06 with Manual transmission and '07-'08 Type-S. I've had these on for 4 months now and I love them. Great stopping power, no noise, and hardly any dust.
