Fresh powder-coated CR-Kai's

Just picked up my wheels earlier today. Original color was matte gunmetal. Had some curb rashes fixed and powercoated "chrome". I wish they offered a silver shade to begin with since im not so fond of dark colored wheels. Cant wait for spring/summer season to rock these!

looks great!

on another note...that tile floor you have there looks like some really old VAT. the "A" stands for asbestos. that tile and the adhesive under it contains asbestos. I would be concerned for kids and pets if you have em on that surface. If not then no real worries!

lol thx for the warning. Im not sure if there's any trace of asbestos but its the basement and no one stays down there. Its mainly used for storage.

$350 (including unmounting my old tires and curb rash repairs) since they made a small mistake so they took off $100. What happened was a small run of clear in one of the wheels but its not even noticeable.

I'm guessing you're going for a beefier tire setup? 255's will have a little bit of bulge on a 8.5" rim, not overwhelming though.

Only worries is if you disturb the asbestos by tearing them up ... like any asbestos .. its fine till you get the particulate in a dust form thats when it can be absorbed into the lungs. The tiles themselves actually contain asbestos too.

Lots of houses have these tiles and also asbestos paper wrapped ducting etc. You would either do flooring over the tiles or have a pro remove them.

That is correct! Encapsulation would be the best solution. Only really an issue if its friable. Wear and tear on the tile surface can cause this. My warning was for kids and pets that play close to the surface.

yeah, its like a light silver. When I first tell people i powdercoated them chrome, their facial reaction goes exactly as follow ---- lol

While at the powdercoating place picking out a color, I had my eyes set on this satin silver color, until I walked into another room and saw this bike crank sitting on a table that had the "chrome" color that really caught my eyes. Brought it outside and it popped even more. So I told the powdercoater that this is the one. The shop is still waiting for me to mount them so they can take pics and put it on their website ha

Here was before

I have a change of plans this season:

18x9.5 +27 all around. Yes I still have the works and will most likely have them on next year instead 1 more month until I get some tires. We still expecting more snow days here

Weird, I just sold my CR-Kai's (18x9.5+20)
and am very close to purchasing NTO3's with those same specs, what tire size were you planning to run? Want the most rubber possible?
Any pics?

i wish i was 9.5 all around
I will be running 235/40. Im sure you can run 255/35s but will require a lot of camber to fit. No pics yet, I will be getting tires next month ( in 2 weeks). So far the forecast is looking good from now on out around here.

I need to roll my fenders first, this is the revision. The 1st time I put them on.. drove around the block and was rubbing the front, so I raised it up a couple cm and now its straight Or.. I might just need an alignment and that might fix it..

Edgar, PM me ur # we can talk about photoshoot n what not
