Question Found Something...

hey i know i just posted a thread below about wheels are not in my future soon, but i may have come across some $$$ (fingers crossed lol)
i had a question, is it THAT important that the wheel center bore hub be exactly what our cars need.. i think it's 64.1. here's what i'm lookin at...

18x9
bolt pattern 5 x 114.3
offset 45 (not an issue with Brembos, i have spacers on)
also come in an offset of 24 (@_@)

BUT the center bore is 70.60... i did the search by putting in what car i had, year, all that, and it said these would fit my car... here they are.....

http://www.streetdreams.org/wheels/r...%20Type/Chrome click on pricing and details for the 18 x 9 ,,then click on more info.... what do you guys think of these wheels?

would this effect fitment? to me it seems the 70 is just slightly bigger than what our cars have and wouldn't make a difference in how it fit because it gets mounted to the studs, call me nieve or whatever but i just need to know if a slightly bigger center bore is BAD? won't fit? what's the downside if any? thanks!

1. Go for some different wheels.
2. You'll be fine with the centerbore. In most cases, people don't have problems. The side effects are wheel vibration. But, just about all wheel companies provide hub rings so that the wheels will sit snug on the wheel hub. You should get some for any aftermarket wheel you decide to purchase.

haha thanks for the input on the center bore! that's what i needed to know.

as for the wheels.. that's what i like dude,, a nice big 5 star on a WIDE rim, dipped in chrome, take into consideration i come from a line a V8 chevys, corvettes, Z28's,, so i've always had a thing for a Vette C5 Style wheel,, that's not a C5 wheel i linked but very close

what don't you like about the wheel,, just curious?

and please don't anyone say then go buy a chevy again or what not... i love my TL!! i just want this kind of wheel on it

Honestly, the design isn't bad. Since you want chrome, I won't say anything about that. The only other thing is that you can get a higher quality wheel, which is lighter, elsewhere. Of course, it'll cost a bit more $.

yea those aren't bad I guess but I am not into chrome either. If they were silver like stock wheels, then they would be nicer in my opinion.

5spoke wheels FTW! but those spokes are a bit thin. However, they may look good when mounted. photoshop?

Question What color combo goes better?

ok so after ALOT of thought,, i'm gonna stay away from an all chrome wheel simply because i do not want to deal with peeling, brake dust getting embedded in the chrome, road salt (NJ winters are BAD) ... so i'm going to go with a colored wheel.. i've narrowed it down to these two... same wheel,, different colors,, but which compliments my car color best,,

if you go to the picture thread for ABP , you'll see Whipgame 's TL its's a VERY similar style wheel in the gold, looks pretty good too,, ok onto the links of what i'm looking at..

here is the black with machined polished lip

and here is the gold machined polished lip (just scroll down a bit after page loads)

I wouldn't put those wheels on my car. They look nice but they are more narrow than stock, 8" stock>7.5" these. And style is ok for 19s, but 18s might look too small because of the lip, if there is one on 7.5" wide wheel.
