Finally got the Volks on!!!!

Well they have been sitting in my room for a couple months now, and i finally decided to put them on. They are Volk GT-V 19x8.5 +35 offset

I know i know, it needs to be lowered...the suspension is sitting in the corner of my room right next to the wheels, so that will go on whenever i get around to doing it.

Please don't mind the ENTIRE front end, Ive been hit twice in the last month(neither of which were my fault). Drivers side got hit about a month ago by a woman that came across 4 lanes of traffic and claims "he wasnt there when i looked, but then when i hit him he was there" <--- thats what the police report said. Thats probably the worst police statement EVER haha. Then again this past saturday, The light turned red and i was in the turning lane of a pretty busy area. The woman beside me wasnt paying attention, and when all other traffic stopped, she didnt slow down until the last minute when she swerved to avoid rear-ending the car in front of her, she swerved right into the front pass. side of my car. Oh well...they had insurance in both wrecks, so everything is getting covered, and it will be in the shop this weekend.

Sorry for the shitty quality cell phone pics, its all i have for now!

Now on with the pics!

Yea i knew when i bought the car, i wanted to color match whatever wheels i got...and when i came across these, i fell in love with the color, plus it would save me money by not having to pay to get the powder coated.

Its always been a joke to me about how women drivers are bad and shouldnt be on the road...but now im starting to believe it more and more!!...(no offense to the ladies on here, im sure you guys are good drivers), but yes Ive never been hit before and now twice in one month!?...its more of a hardcore migraine than a headache.

Total i think i got $3,800 from both wrecks, and was quoted $1,700 to fix the front and both sides...so its been a pain, but i profitted some pretty good money off it.

The wheels somehow look very familiar to me.

Kyle, I'm sure you'll fall in love over and over again with the way they complement the car's lines and colors. Just like I did.

A lowering indeed is a must. You definitely must post pics after the repair and lowering.

I was hoping you would chime in on this thread...

Quick question...Ive never taken a wheel on and off that had so little room around the lugnuts...the very first one i put on, i lightly scratched the area on the wheel around the lugnut. I ended up taking a paper towel and putting around the tool, so it wouldnt scratch anymore. Since you obviously are familiar with these wheels, how did you put them on and take them off without scratching them? Any tips or ideas would be appreciated. But thanks again for the wheels...youre right, once they were all on, i totally fell in love with my car all over again!

Hey Kyle:

I just used regular thinwalled deep socket and tighten them with regular torque wrench. What lug nuts do you use? I'd try to get some smaller lugnuts. I used Muteki and it was great. Inexpensive and smaller than stock. These tuner lugs come with their own thin walled socket, so it will minimize scratching the lug nut openings.

That pic was when the car had Eibach Prokit and regular Koni Sport. But when I switched to H&R Sport and Koni SP3, the car looked almost exactly the same.

I have the stock lugnuts, but the ones on there now are ALL the factory locking lugs. The tool was a tad bit smaller compared to the stock lugs, but still it was kind of a tight fit. But yea i will def look into the "tuner" lugs because that one small scratch on the wheel is gonna kill me. thats the last thing i want, is a new scratch everytime i take the wheels on or off. Thanks again for everything man, i really appreciate it!

No problem.

Find proper lug nuts asap because the stock ones are ball seat and the wheels are tapered. You won't have good contact with the stock lug nuts. Besides they're a little too big for the opening.
