18k on mine. 6MT.
Looking a tad worn. Almost to the wear bars on the rears. Used to be the fronts.

Check out this thread. There is a poll that asks the same question.

I've got 12.5 on mine and the are still in good shape, I'd bet they could go another 5-10 but they are coming off Monday for a new set of Pilot Sport A/Ss.

About two hours, that's all you should get from them. Enough time to drive to a tire store and replace them with a SAFE tire!! :-)

I replaced mine at 25,000 miles. They were just downright horrid in the snow and were starting to hydroplane badly in wet conditions. I went with the Michelin pilot Sport A/S as the replacements and they are definetely a "harder" tire with a more firm ride, but they hold the road very well. Snow performance is still something to be desired, but they are better than the EL-42's.

So in short the answer to your question is about 25,000 miles.

Yes, you will be very happy with those. I went for the Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S from Tirerack, and am completely satisfied. I drove a couple thousand miles during the LA storms this year and never had one of those EL-42 "Oh, $h!t" moments that were so common before. The PS2s are supposed to be even better if you have the budget to get them.

I have 12K on mine. They are adequate for normal use but squeel like a pig when pushed to 7/10s. I will replace them before I hit 20K. I will probably go with the Toyo Proxes 4 that people have been happy with.

Appreciate it, I am still learning about these cars... I haven't had a scary moment yet with the ELs, but don't want to take a chance since this is my daily. I'll just leave the VSA off all the time and smoke em every chance I get to make me have to buy some PS2s for the winter.

I just got rid of my 2003 Accord Coupe v6, that had $68k on EL41's, and they had 3/16's on them still.

I always end up with tires that last forever

Firestore tole me EL42, are harder and should last longer too....
