About 7/8" up front and 3/4" rear

I think these are the rims I'm gonna get. One question, and it's more general as opposed to these rims specifically, but what it the ride like going from 17 to 18? I see a lot of "watch out for potholes" when people say they're going to 19's, but are 18's pretty much ok to drive the same as on 17's?

There is no noticeable difference. Of course I live in Arizona where the roads are relatively new and pothole free. Also, the tires are much quieter than the stock tires and that makes it seem like the ride is better.
