Eibach Pro Kit Springs

I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between Eibach Pro Kit part numbers. I am showing there is a part number for 04-08 base (4044.14) and 07-08 Type-S (4070.140). I found an awesome deal on the Type-S springs new but I drive a base.

Thanks!

you'll be fine with either one BUT I will caution you, I ran these springs on my TL and hated them.

uneven drop, and a 1" drop overall was not worth the install in the least.

A 1" drop is all I am looking for because I will be driving the car in the snow. I had Tein S-Tech springs before and loved them but they dropped my last TL a little to low for winter driving.

Sharksbreath: How was the ride? I am looking for something close to factory.

Sorry for the 4G reference pic re: eibach prokit.

i had pro kits in 2 of my cars and loved it.. yes..it was a minimal drop but it still looked great and rode factory while definitely feeling the greater handling.

I had them on my car, too. Paired with Koni sports. It rode better than stock to be honest. Probably because I had the shocks on pretty soft. I can't imagine it being bad on stock shocks at all.

Thank Acura604 and Dingo. I had these springs on one of my first 240sx and loved them, they are a bit more then the s-tech but like I said I cant really go that low and drive the car in MN winters.

Have you considered Tein H-Tech's? They offer a nice, minimal drop with a slight forward rake. The ride is very comfortable with stock shocks.

I have but I didnt think the drop would be noticeable. I am also considering just buying a 2500 civic to bomb around in for winter... then I can go as low as I want!

With the A-Spec wheels the H-Techs fill out the wheel opening really well!

This is the 3G base TL spring:

This is the 3G TL-S spring:

You can install either spring on either car but Eibach uses a stiffer spring rate on the Type S spring because it's heavier motor than the base TL.

They drop the car more than advertised. The front dropped 1.25'' and the rear around .75''.

Perfect drop. stock shocks? Did you install the H-techs yourself or have them done at a shop?

I may have to do that then, I am a huge Tein fan, I think I have had them on 3-4 of my cars!
