Ebay chrome tl-s & aspec wheels?

Has anyone seen these chromed oem TL-S wheels and ASPEC wheels, or know anything about them?

I am interested in a set of 4 chrome TL-S wheels, but I wonder about how long the chrome will last.

The seller says they bought them from acura as is (chrome) and dont know how long the chrome last for.

Let me know guys!

I can't comment on the TL-S wheels, but I do know that there have been some problems with the Chrome-look finish A-Spec wheels in the past. Here's a thread for example: Link

For that, look in the Black Market section on this forum.

I'd say PB's recommendation is a good one. Of course, "cheap" is relative. I found my A-Spec's on eBay for under $1,000 for the set; they were $1,800 previously. I am now seeing them for $1,400.

If your buying odd e-bay and the seller is in the US your going to get hit hard with exchange ,freight and even harder with duty etc.

Might be cheaper to go aftermarket and get good quality ones.

Look on your local Craigslist postings. I got my gunmetal A-Specs for $500 from a local seller.

What the hell? $1500 without tires? They are $350/each new from the dealership. She was trying to make a quick $100.

The paint on mine is to fade and some of the paint is flaking off, but it's not noticeable unless you get really close. I'm going to get them powdercoated eventually, but that won't be for a while.

You get what you pay for I guess.

OP, start saving for a set and treat yourself for Christmas. It's going to be a while, and probably longer than you want to wait, but it will be well worth it

you forget I am in Canada, and parts are 30% more expensive here haha Rims are 500$ at the dealership apparently. She told me that when they got the car new just the wheel and tire upgrade was 4000$, I told her she got ripped off.

It sounds like you can't find a set of wheels that you like and that you can afford.

I say stick with the stockies for a while and save up. I love the stock 04-06 wheels

I can afford dub wheels if I want, I just don't want to blow money on car's too much anymore. I love TSW wheel's but they are way over priced!

$315 for 19" TSW is over priced?

These are only $180 in a 19

I did a lot of searching over last winter and for any decent 19 your not going to see then up here for less than $300 ea.

Did they change the bolt pattern on the new model? I don't think they were compatible previously?

I think they look nice. If the bolt pattern is the same, it's not a bad solution. I don't know enough about offset to advise in that area though.

I wouldn't buy wheels just for the hell-of-it...you gotta ask yourself...do you love them? and if you do, then buy them. I love the 04-06 stockies...powdercoated mine "black chrome" and the look awesome!

I looked at the TSW and talked to them .. you realize on the tip wheel the lip is only 1" and doesn't look like the pix at all . I was told by TSW the 19 x 9.5 won't fit the TL.

I'd advise you to look at one in person before you buy.

Also make sure it is a machined lip not a SS overlay. The overlays dent & scratch really easy.

Here is a pix of that "style" of wheel in a TL

The TSW Snetterton only come's i n19x9.5 with a 2.75" lip, so that won't fit?

but the TSW Donington comes in a 19x8 so will that fit right?

According to thier site they come in 19 x 8

http://www.tswalloywheels.com/alloy_...snetterton.php

When I talked to TSW directly they told me the 9.5 wouldn't fit my 06 TL, just going by what they told me .

Where I was dissapointed is thier pixtures show this wonderful lip and spoke recess and it only exists on the bigger diameter and wider wheels.

Thats why I suggested you see one in person before you jump and buy them.

Ya those wheels suck, I admit. So im scratching both the snerton and donington off or whatever they're called off the list.

Think I am gunna go for a 19inch chrome tsw vortex 8inch wide, or 9.5 if they fit?

wont 8inch wide look dumb? are they cheaper for tires?

I thought you couldn't afford that much .. those are $500 a rim ..

For that price look at the Axis wheels... a lot better quality.
