Dont want to drop the car

If I don't want to drop my car, I'm asssuming if I buy 18x8, it won't look 4x4sh. But if i do 19's, I'm almost possible it will look 4x4sh.

Thanks,
Stephani

why would you think going to 19s will make your car look 4x4? It all depends on the tire size. Going with 19s with the correct tire size will retain the stock tire diameter, and the gap between the fender and the wheel will look smaller.

There are many members here with 19s and no drop, and they don't look 4x4 at all! Of course it would look the best with a drop..!

Actaully I agree, I coudln't stand driving a car with wheels and no drop. However, I don't think 19s will look anymore 4x4 then 18s. You could even get away with 20s.

I disagree..no matter what size u get it shouldnt matter...if u get proper tire size than you will have no problem...the tire diameter should be the same......like the factory tire size is 235/45/17 and im gettin 245/30.20's...the 20/s tire is only like a 1/4 in not even taller than the 17...so the ride height will be the same...only way you will have it looking like a 4x4 is if u get too tall of a tire...and this will also throw off your speedometer....check out the tire size calcualator at 1010tire.com....it has all that info for you..hope this helps!!!

agree... I have 19s with no drop and there is less gap than when I had the stocks on... It looks good to me...

Still looking for the best springs though...

Do you think a TL with the A-Spec wheels look 4x4ish sans a drop? I don't think they do, and those are 18's. And I'm talking about TL's with the A-Spec wheels, but no A-Spec suspension, so the stock ride height is retained.

18 - 245/40/18
19 - 245/35/19
20 - 245/30/20

These will retain roughly the same overall diameter as your stock wheel/tire combo (235/45/17). Now, if the wheels you get are only X8, you can get a 235 tire and it will be ok, but a 245 will give you a little more protection for your rims. If your wheels are X8.5, I would definitely get the 245's.

None of these will look like a 4X4 without a drop. If you get too big of tires, then it would look like a 4X4, but doing it properly will look good. Oh, and 1010tires.com also has tons of user reviews of almost every tire...it's a very informative site.

Sorry, but I just want rims, + nice clean look. The color of my car is desert mist metallic, and I could be unique and pimp it all out BUT don't want to. I'd rather invest my money in 401K, stocks, and savings...

Those are my priorities.. Thank you very much..

Go 20" with 235/35/20 and you will close the gap, the car won't be any lower, maybe even a tad bit higher, but the gap will be less.
