discounttireS.com (not discount tire) ???

I am looking at general altimax tires for my 3g tl and came upon this site:

dicounttires.com

Mind you that its not the same as Discount Tire or discounttire.com.

Anyone used this place before? They have good prices, tax free, and cheaper shipping than tire rack.

Any thoughts? if this isn't legit, anyone know where to get a steal on some 235/45/17 altimax's?

Thanks

Your best bet is to do price comparison shopping to find the best price, including shipping. Check tirerack, discounttire.com, sears, etc... Most places will do a price match to make sure they get the sale. Do your homework and you're bound to save a bunch of money.

Btw.... I've never heard of discounttires.com. They don't have a www. url which makes me skeptical. Another thing, they don't seem cheaper. Discounttire will match the best price you find.

If you are referring to this company and website, then yes http://discounttires.com/

I just ordered a set of Altimax Artic last Friday and they were shipped out today with tracking numbers. The price on the tires was a few dollars difference from TireRack but the shipping charges were $60 less.

Yeah the altimax's I want are coming in under $500, where they are coming in higher on tire rack. I think I will go with discounttires

duffduffxx, Discount Tire will match their price after shipping but also provides free lifetime servicing and a free prorated road hazard warranty. I'm a manager at a DTC in Lakewood and would be more than happy to help you out.

I have better luck with www.discounttiredirect.com Its the sister company to discount tire and they have free shipping. The last 2 times I ordered there was no tax.

So a follow up to this:

I didn't go to discount tire for a price match because I still got a better deal. I bought it off the discounttires.com website, got the tires shipped to my house, and had them installed by sears for $40 which included a balance. Overall I probably saved $60 or $70 due to taxes. I would recommend the website.

I went to Discount Tire because of peace of mind. Replacement certificates ftmfw and the fact that Discount Tire has lifetime balance - rotations for only $64 when you buy through them
