Difference in rear aspec suspension

Looking at the instructions, it says there should be a left and a right shock. However unlike the fronts, there is no L or R. one says MAZR02 and one says MAZR06...other than that the part number is the same. Any help? This suspension change has been a pain in the ass.

I called the dealership and the two rears are the same exact thing. I got the suspension installed and I took it to school tonight. It handles amazing! however it's really bumpy in the rears for some reason. I think it may just need to break in a little bit. Am I corrrect?

If you went from a stock TL to the A-Spec then it will seem a lot harsher. It will not soften up much if any.

The rears are both the same. The fronts are different because they are angled in relation to the shock towers.

I don't particularly care if its a little harsh, the rears just seem bouncy under normal conditions. I'm sure it's going to grow on me. I could have sworn you were the one that said once it broke in it became less "jiggly" if I remember correctly.

if by bouncy you mean you FEEL every single bump and hole on the road, then yea, don't expect that to soften out.

the A-spec suspension doesnt sit as low as some of the other aftermarket brands out there, but when it comes to response, and feedback, i'd definitely say the A-spec suspension is one of the most responsive; personally i like it. My gf and parents both hate it.

No it hits bumps solid. the rear seems to "bobble" up and down...maybe I just need to get used to it

wait, seem or you are actually feeling it.

granted you just intalled the suspension so there's most likely a bit of time for everything to settle, but odd wobbling doesnt sound right....

lol looks like all the East coast ppl are waking up

Seems to me that bouncy would be the OPPOSITE of "STIFF". So the OP is stating that his newer A-Spec are "bouncy" (or softer) than his original shocks. That does not seem right. Also, if the two shocks are EXACTLY the same, why would Acura even bother with two different part numbers? Something doesn't add up... Where did you get these new parts from? If they came from someone used, the rears might be worn out...

They were new from curry acura. It's not bouncy when you hit bumps, but rather regular driving. Hard to explain I guess...It may just be the crappy road conditions here!

hopefully! but if not i would have that looked at. i find my car recovers very well from must bumpy roads with little to no up and down movement. you just feel the bumps and keep moving forward. i have never felt a car that was not harsh and still recovered as well as my aspec setup. i love it!

i hope things work out!

man you guys say these shocks are tight...i just bought my 2008 tl type s new with the aspec suspension upgrade and they seem still really bouncy. i dont know if there is something wrong with my aspecs or if its just because i was so used to driving my e46 m3.

There is nothing wrong with your aspecs. The suspension on your M3 was far stiffer than necessary. They fixed it on the E90 M3.
