Could this be an Axle problem???
So I have been thinking since I installed my RonJons that I had a balancing problem. But a second spin on the hunter disputed that!! So I am wondering if I have an axle problem?? I have a vibration between 60-70 Mph that was very slight with my stockies and now very pronounced with my 19" RonJons??? It seems to settle after a longer drive on the highway?? But is very bad when the car is slow?? I was thinking the bigger wheels exposes it??? Any suggestions??
Dude I had that same problem! Annoying right? Well from reading other blogs on here, it seemed it could be two things. #1 the lower control arm bushings or #2 a dampner that is added to the frame of the car on the bottom side. They r both posted in the site somewhere, do some digging.
Axle problems are annoying. Do you hear any clicking on turns? Sounds like you have more of a balancing issue. How about under acceleration? Does your steering wheel sway? Get your car on a lift, and accelerate a small SMALL amount...see if anything's wobbling. Keep us posted. I had the same problem...swapped out both axles.
^^^^ My car does sway!! But no clicking that I can hear. My wheels were balanced on a hunter and are not the issue!! The vibration seems to disappear after the car warms up. It's really only an issue after first getting going on the highway. I am going to have it checked out on tuesday. I will let you know!!
