I want to get a Comptech RSB but have seen several posts about thumps and squeaks. The improved handling is not that important if I have to deal with noises I would rather get a 6MT bar instead. Is this the case with all Ctech RSB's or a select few? Also has anyone found any cures for the noise?

 

There are at least 3 threads going about the Comptech bars and noise. Check one of those for the solutions. The easiest is to just grease the bushings before you put it on.

 

I think they could all potentially do it..and yes, just grease them when you put the replacement bushings in place and it will be fine, or you can upgrade to better aftermarket bushings, which too you will grease.

 

I greased the bushings once I heard the noises. It worked well until 6 mo later, then I did it again. Its not too much of a pain in the ass, I'm going to get the new comptech ones and see if they are any better.
