comments on these FLIK wheels...

This was posted on a-cl.com so sorry if you're reading this twice...

I found these on www.edgeracing.com

FLIK LEX wheels

I got a price quote with the 225/40/18 Kuhmo 712s.

All together w/ shipping and mount/balance was $1360 to my door.

Not a bad deal right? My only concern is that they are a new company...and these are their first wheels.

Also they have a 42mm offset, which is somewhat low.

Here are my other tire choices for 225/40/18 size.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Yeah, saw those from that site a week ago, but had second thoughts cause I never heard of the brand. Good looking rims though. Check out this place. They have some real good deals.

That's less than a 1G for the set of rims. I wouldn't buy it!! If you do somehow, watch out for potholes.

BTW, that looks good though.

Save your money and buy a wheel that will fit properly.

You get what you pay for.

Id say save up for a reputable brand.

Those look more like AVS knock-offs. Mine are THE SSR knock-off.
In 18's, those would look bigger, like a 19, because the spoke goes all the way to the lip. What width are they? I would recommend going with a 235/40 tire, but with a +40mm wheel, that would RUB. Check out mine; they only cost $1,600 with 235/40/18 Kumhos.

Check out Rota Battles. They look the same, and come in a 48 mm offset.

$125 ( 1 kumho tire ) = $560 mounted and balanced for a set of four.

That means YOU SHOULD WATCH OUT FOR POTHOLES

what type of rims do you have that are SSR knock-offs?

I believe the FLIX where 18X8

I also have TEIN Coilovers so adjusting height to eliminate rub is not a problem

thanks to everyone that has responded

Well, since the rims are so cheap in price, you should buy a couple more for spares. Whenever the rim gets bend, dump it and use a new one, no hard feelings.
