Coilover preference

Looking at ordering some coilovers in the near future, only ones I have ever owned where hsd on my 240sx. Absolutely loved the ride quality! Not looking to cheep out, looking for some opinions! I was considering bc racing, reviews seem good on them as far as I know

I have Tein Street Advance. Very nice coilover.

However, what you want out of a coil will be your deciding factor. Depends on how low you want them, how much comfort you want, and how much you want to spend.

Some other popular choices for our cars are ISC, Megans, Function & Form, and a few others.

Better than the Type-S suspension setup? What does this actually do for you?

I agree with undying... What exactly are u looking for? I have function form coilovers while they are good coilovers part of me wonders how Megan's or the teins would feel in comparison. I got the function & form bc I got rims, tires, and suspension all in one shot so I was on abit of a budget when it came to the coilovers. But if budget is no friend to u id suggest megan racing coilovers.

I don't really get what you're asking...coilovers lower the car...Type-S suspension is stiffer than the base and M/T suspensions but it doesn't lower the car.

Coilovers are also adjustable, ride height and damping settings.

Coilovers allow u to play with the height of ur car they are adjustable. Better Corning, better stability during turning. And of course a lower more aggressive looking stance depending on how low u go.

Looking for maximum adjustment in ride height, and I want quality so I don't mind spending the extra bucks on something good. Hoping to stuff some 10.5" rims in the summer, still trying to research fitment on that as well! Any help would be appreciated guys!

ISC coils can lower up to 3+" I think. My Tein coils stop at 2.9" fronts and 2.6" rear.

If you're considering the BC Racing coilovers you should really consider our XLR8 ISC coilovers. They are a similar design but we've found the ISC coilovers are very high quality, with a great warranty at a great price.

the unanimous choice by most users here are the Teins. good quality for just the right amount of money. I personally had the Heeltoe version of the F&F coilovers and they were more than enough for my dd back then. it all boils down to the cost:performance ratio for you and how you would be normally driving your car.

From the info I've gotten from other Acurazine members, Im going with the Tein SAs. Great product reviews and fairly reasonable price. You get what you pay for.

I have the street advance and in my opinion their perfect however, Tein is dropping a "new" set up in a few months. Heeltoe has a tread on one. Suppose to come out in a few month...might be worth the wait not 100% on the details tho...look into if ur in the market for a set.
