Clicking sound while turning

Clicking sound while turning

Hello, so i have a 07 tl type s. So everytime i'm making a turn i would hear a clicking sound. Not sure if its the cv joint that needs to be replace or the whole axle??

most likely the outer CV joint going bad.

do you have an AT or MT?

it's easier (less labor intensive) to replace the axle than to repack the CV joint and replace the boot. the OEM axles for the AT's are stupid expensive right now for whatever reason. most people with the AT are opting for aftermarket alternatives. the OEM axles for the MT are much more reasonably priced.

Thanks, it's an auto. Yea it's like 200 each. . Most likely ill buy the axle

only for 04-06 base TL automatics, 07-08 tl automatic axles are much cheaper. its only like $160 per side

I had the same issue the shop had to tighten up my steering rack. Then no more clicking nor popping for me.
