Clearance on Type S

I'm planning to lower my 07 Type S on S tech springs on stock shocks

Wheels that I'm going with are 18x8 with ET 45

How big of spacers do I need to clear the Brembos?
Also, would I run into any rubbing issues?

the smarter thing to do would be to buy wheels that are already in the specs you want, so that you dont need spacers.

fyi; stock wheels are 17x8 +45, so if your "proposed" set doesnt fit, DEFINITELY CHOOSE A BETTER SET THAT FITS!

You're right.
I have these wheels (Tenzo DC6) that were on my 04 accord that have been collecting dust for 6 years now. Figured I would try to put them on my TL.

the spokes are pretty far out on that wheel, have you physically tried to put them on your car?

18x8.5 +45 is aspec, so I'd assume you MIGHT be okay...but the more narrow 8" might be close to the brembo.

Like Justin said...test fit them and figure it out.

I'm having the wheels brought over from Canada next week hopefully. Just wanted to know ahead of time if I should order spacers for it.

yes.
clearance at the stock specs would depend on spoke design and how far in the spokes go towards the brake caliper

looking at pics of the Tenzo DC6, it looks very empty and able to clear. but who knows till he actually puts them on to test fit.
