Change from 5x114 to 5x120
Maybe this topic has been talked about before. I would like to know if someone in the AZINE has changed from 5x114 to 5x120 in the 3rd generation TL. I believe there is a greater alternative to wheels, but I have not heard of anyone (yet) who has done this!?!
I am looking forward to the comments!

It has been done, but the member owns a 2G RL. The 2G RL has a 5x120 PCD, and he redrilled his 5x114.3 OEM 3G TL wheels to 5x120.

You're looking for the exact opposite, yes it can be done. Either you know a very reputable wheel repair shop or you can send them in to vrwheels.com or rotiform.com. But yes I agree with the members here, it will cost money to ship the wheels and then for the service. Many wheels come in multiple PCDs. Unless you want to run OEM BMW wheels or something of that nature, then yes custom work must be done since they obviously don't create multiple bolt patterns.
5x112 is a completely different story, as the pitch circle is not that much different than a 5x114.3 I have run 5x112 wheels for months with no problems and an even better way to run 112 wheels is with wobble bolts.
5x120 gets pretty big (for larger vehicle platforms) so a redrill is a must since it physically does not mount up to the hub.

Could you not just buy 5x114.3 --> 5x120 wheel adapters? There is a guy selling 19" VMR 710 for like $400 close to me and I've thought about buying them but I can't find a reputable place that sells these adapters.
VMR 710
19x8.5 et35
19x9.5 et42 (he's not sure about the offset in the rear. Possibly a 42, 45 or 33)
Would this work or would these put me way past the fender?

it looks like the same just the lugnuts are a bit offcenter in the lugnut holes (and i have slide a 112 onto a 114 before, but never had the wobble nut though, but anyways it is a snug fit on the studs, you have to make sure the wheel is straight before it will really slid down to the hub fully)
