Get your axles checked out, get your wheels balanced and/or get an alignment. Or stop going 100mph. :P

DONT GO OVER 100 MPH and problem solved!

your tires are probably not rated for 100 and up.
actaully, can you please go 100 and take your self out. you'll save the gene pool

Heh, if he lives in Socal its understandable. After spending hours in traffic, its hard to not go fast. BTW I've driven to Vegas up to 110, and car was smooth, so check your tires.

Could be a number of things (or even a combination of them). Out of balance tire would be first guess, bent rim, broken belt or possibly a bad wheel bearing. Most likely a balance issue.

Try putting only one lug nut on each wheel and see if you can reach 120mph

I've kind of got the same issue, took the car up to ~115 the other night and it felt "unstable" compared to before.

Check..
- Wheel bearings
- Wheel Balance
- Tire pressure
- Axles
- Ball joints
- Lower Control Arm Bushings
- Tighten Lugs
- Jack up your car. Grab your tire at the top and the bottom, now have someone push the top and pull the bottom. You look to see if anything moves or has any play in it.
- Repeat the steps above but grab the tire on the sides.

Hope this helps you bro. I'm also in the process of figuring my issue out. After doing the shake test, I noticed that one of my control arm bolts had loosened up so I'll be tightening that up tomorrow and checking for any other crap that might be wrong.

The fact that my tires are bald doesn't help much either..
haha

yeaaaa bald tires + 115mph = not very smart at all. If you wanna play russian roulette use a gun instead of your car. Atleast you will only be putting yourself at risk then.

Tires might be going bad. Happened to me. Plus it helps to get your tires balanced a 2nd time at a different place.

there are several other threads on vibrations...you may want to do a search on that to help you out....

also you may want to consider road force balancing if standard dynamic spin balancing doesn't work (assuming its your wheels and tires).

just a thought...

Same here. Had the cruise set to 110 following a friend's Z06 at 2am. Average mph was 101 because we slowed to a reasonable speed through any populated areas. Had to back off at State Line because we might actually get a ticket in NV. TL was as smooth as can be.

How do you manage to go 100 on the Turnpike? I've never been on, but it's a pretty famous road, and NY/NJ area isn't really out in the sticks now, is it?

I had vibs so i took it in for alignment and balance...turns out my aligmentwas all retarded but the big problem was a bent rim. so i replaced it but i still have some vibs.......im thinking that since i was driving on a bent rim for some time it may have worn my tire down unevenly, and that might be why i still have some vibs.....does that sound logical?

orrrrr....i was also thinking, we aligned it befor we took the tires off and balanced them...cold doin an alignmenton a bent rim through off he alignment process

Definately. If the rim was not true, the entire alignment is no good.
