"Breaking" locking lug nuts

ok so i got some new winter tires (for those of you following my string of posts =)

anyway, i had them put on my wife's car at a shop cause the steel rims were new and i just had them balance and install them. she had no idea where the wheel lock was, so i just had them "break" the locking lugs. later on, i found the wheel lock.

so i thought that "breaking" the locking lugs implied some sort of damage, but they don't look damaged at all and the wheel lock still fits snuggly over them.

does this mean that i can still use these locking lugs, or are they permanently damaged given that they had to "break" the lugs to get them off the car without the wheel lock?

They probably had a universal lug nut removal tool.

in that case the lock nuts should still be usable, right?

it fits into the key perfectly, not stripped or anything.

unless the interior threads were damaged by "breaking", i don't want to remove the lugs right now to test with the locking nuts cause they're all on the wheels
