Average costs for strut install?
soo I just purchased KYB gr2/Excel G struts for my 06 TL. I was looking for a direct stock replacement but a little bit more affordable than stock struts. KYB has a rebate till the end of the month so it worked out great. Anyway I now need someone to install these and I was wondering how much I should expect to pay for install? I have never done suspension work in the past otherwise I would do it myself, besides time is an issue.
on a side note... any positive/negative reviews for the KYB gr2 struts?

Do it yourself, it's easy. Even easier if you have or purchase a large pry bar. You don't need to remove the rear deck or C-pillars for the rear dampers. Read this thread and pay particular attention to post #114 and beyond for the rear install:

Drive to Pittsburgh, PA with a case of beer and $100 and I'll do it for you LOL
Its so easy to pull the back seats out after you do it and then look back at it. I'll admit it's a pain in the ass but it is easy. But make sure to tape your socket to the socket extension when getting the bolt loosened behind the head rests. I made the mistake on one and had to get another socket then shake the missing socket out.

eastsideride I wish you were in east texas area! would have taken you up on that offer!
I still have not gotten around to installing these. I had a local shop quote me around $600 for install with alignment and switching out lower control arm bushings in the front wheels. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Got these installed finally! Great OE replacements. I have put about 500 miles on these so far, and they ride smooth and the car is very comfortable and feels refined again. No more jarring ride!

^^^^ Pretty sure he gurlied out and took the $600 deal
OP, just having fun with you. If that's the deal you took, I think it's pretty fair for all the work they did.

lol.. I did... I took the $600 deal. Kinda wish I would have done it myself, they dirtied up my back seats pretty bad and ended up breaking the clips for the rear seat cushion... but those are easy fixes.
