ATLP or Greddy?

I just ordered a Greddy system for my TL and they told me they are out of stock until the 22nd of March. As a result I went ahead and put an order in for the base ATLP catback.

Anybody that can give me advice on either I'd appreciate. I very much favor the Greddy, but want to make sure it doesn't sound ricey or seem too loud for the car. Though the ATLP sounds sexy as hell, I prefer the look of the Greddy tips. Also, anybody have experience with drone from either system?

Thanks!

Yeah, posted it in the wrong thread lol. Had two links open and thought it was mods. I have about a week to cancel my order without charge on the ATLP, hence the advice.

It's only really noticeable the first few weeks. Once the exhaust "breaks in" for a little while the drone lessens quite a bit.

greddy drone = DEATH

xlr8 drone = better than greddy

atlp drone = little less than xlr8

Comptech = NO DRONE

ive owned both xlr8 and comptech...my roomate used to own atlp and my other friend owns greddy. Im glad you didnt get greddy and youre hearing expectancy has just gone up a few years

he must have the silencer still in the exhaust then. exhausts sound much better on our engines than 4 cylinder engines. 4 cylinder engines produce a lot more rasp. My friend has same greddy exhaust on his 08 civic coupe. When we first put it on, it was extremely quiet due to the silencer being in there. Took some pliers and just kept yanking at it until it finally came out. Shit sounds ridiculous now. It was fun for a week but after that also the cans of the greddys are way too big. I believe greddys give the most power tho because they are the most free flowing but i dont race my car haha rather have my ears at ease

comptech is the quietest exhaust I have ever owned -_- I got rid of my xlr8 because of the drone and now I want a loud exhaust again....whatever you cant have everything haha. With the xlr8 I would always have cops following me but now you can only hear my exhaust when I want you to hear it n step on it lol

last yr I had to pay 75 bux to some dude to pass my car because he wudnt pass my xlr8 exhaust...hopefully i dont have to bribe him this year lmaooo

Love my ATLPs but there is a good bit of drone. I guess I'm use to it now, but still sometimes favor comfort over the deep drone. But then again, the added power, sound, and looks makes it all worth it!

If you click on my name and go to threads started by you'll see 2 threads for exhaust videos. 3 actually If I remember right. I have a greddy evo2 and some Other piping mods. Love the sound and it has minimal drone...at least for me in the front i could care less about whoever rides in back lol. Oh and atlp looks nicer..and apparently the greedy with a jpipe and 3rd cat delete is REALLY LOUD lol.

Yes, it's a result of uneven exhaust output between the heads. Sometimes the flow gets mixed up and will leave one tip faster than the other.

ATLP all the way. They look the cleanest. I think the two huge cans of the GReddy system take away from the clean look of the car.
