Aspec suspension ?s

i just purchased my tein ss's and going to get rid of my aspec suspension. 2 questions,

one how do i know for a fact its Aspec suspension and not type s suspension? my TLS was purchased from the dealership with the entire aspec package but i dunno if the person just did lip kit and wheels or included the suspension.

two, whats the typical pricing on aspec suspension resale. car has 30k miles. i know i sold my 07 type s suspension out of my NBP for $200 about 3 months ago. im guessing around the same?

I'd expect you could get more than $200 if you're selling them fully assembled with top mounts and such. Maybe $3-400. You'll have to check the part #s to find out if it is the A-Spec or regular Type-S. Just because the car had the lip kit doesn't mean it had the suspension as well.

The factory A-SPEC part number is 08W60-SEP-201A And should be stamped on the suspension. I work for an Acura dealer and i believe you could get a little more for them maybe $3-400 if it is an A-SPEC suspension.

That's the complete assembly for the '07-'08 TL A/T cars, but each individual shock will have a specific part number
08W60-SEP-2M0E1 TL R. FR.
08W60-SEP-2M0F1 TL L. FR.
08W60-SEP-2M0C1 TL RR.

i just ordered an aspec suspension kit from flea bay from curry acura...they said the most updated part number now ends in 202A for the same kit (just an FYI). however to OP, you probably have the part number that ends in 201A or 200A. they are all one in the same aspec suspension kit. hope this helps.

I wouldn't tell him that he "probably" has the A-Spec suspension. How would we know? He may very well have the stock Type-S suspension.

ugh, please don't read so much into the semantics. the OP doesn't even know whether he has aspec or type s. hence he's asking how he would know. i'm just giving the OP some other ASPEC part number variances for the same part in the event the he MIGHT have it once he checks. obviously if his part numbers dont' match the ASPEC numbers...he more than likely has the type s suspension on his type s TL.

i'm just trying to give the OP some more info to help him out.

she said he probably has a specific part number not that he probably has aspec, she very well could have meant to say "if you have the aspec, you probably have this part number"

The problem with having/knowing the A-Spec KIT number is that it doesn't show on individual parts. For those, see Turbonut's earlier post.

The kit number may show on dealer sales sheet/service work order/window sticker or other similar paperwork if the OP has access to them.
