aspec rims color question - Blk Titanium?

Hello all,

I am new here to this forum and recently purchased a 04 nav tl black. I am looking to get the aspec rims and suspension, but I am confused about the colors. I know there is Chrome, Silver Sparkle, and the original A-spec finish which looks shiny. Now i find these on ebay, the Blk Titaniums. I have compared them to the Black Platinum and they look different. I was wondering if anyone could shine any light on this issue. I don't want to end up buying something I dont want. I will try to post a picture of them.

thanks,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m32

they are on ebay right now. Please take a look. Also, they do not come with 2 center pieces, are they hard to come by?

black titanium... they are the same exact thing as the "hyper black" color, also called "gunmetal".... i mean ive literally heard like 10 different names for that wheel. As far as I know there's really only 3 types of aspec finishes - silver sparkle, chrome, and black titanium/gunmetal finish.

only tricky thing is they are not as dark as you would think... not as dark as the typical aftermarket gunmetal wheel, but they still look awesome.

Wow! The Acura parts guys continue to screw this up.

Now it's Titanium Ebony?!?

I will post pix of my "Ebony" (200B) wheels in the Team Anthracite Photo Gallery later.

Ebony replaced the original gunmetals. The original gunmetals are a flat dark gray.

The "Ebony" is a TRUE gunmetal color that has a shiny appearance, especially in bright light. (But it only comes in 18x8, with and w/o TPMS). You have to see it in person as it does not photograph well except at night.

thanks guys, so i am assuming these will look good on a Black TL. I just hope they won't be too white looking. I want the shiny look, but not chrome.

Do you know if I can easily get the center pieces that are missing that are identical to the ones they are coming with?

I have found another listing on ebay for ebony black wheel, but they look totally different from the posting for the black titanium. Can you guys tell the difference? This has really been a pain trying to find the right wheels.

thanks blkaspec, you ride looks perfect. Do you know what the acura part number is on your rims? I think the two I posted from ebay are different, although both claim to be black/ebony rims.

I am trying to determine the difference, but I think the later ones are the ones on your car. they are the 202E's. I think the earlier ones i posted are lighter, the blk titanium ones.

this answer isnt an "i know" its an "i think". so i think they made two rims similar to mine. one that was only out in 2004, it had an 8.5" width, and it was more of a matte finish. it also has no lip around the edge. and there is the one i have, its only 8", and its shiny-er. its really not THAT shiny, it really depends on the light. but they are AWESOME up close. i wish they were a tad darker, but i wont complain. i think they really make the car. and if i am wrong about these facts, someone please correct me.

i cant say for sure if those are the same rims in the two links, but i think they are, based on their widths.

and i have no clue the part number, sorry. my aspec came pre-assembled when i bought her from the dealership.

Or you could go with the original A-Spec 18 x 8.5" wheels in a gunmetal color. the is currently a o auction on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-...mZ220227529906 for these wheels. I have them on my 2005 Anthracite and they look awesome! You can tell there 8.5" because the wheels don't have a lip like the current 8".
