Aspec alignment
Aspec alignment
Getting my car aligned this week and with all the discussion on the board about caster and toe,I would like to get the best alignment I can since I'm getting new tires/wheels shortly. It seems most everyone is agreed to setting the toe in the rear as close to zero as possible...is this the way to go? I did get some cupping issues with my 1st set of tires(yokohama) and want to alieveiate this problem with my new tires. Any advice is appreciated.
Hello Tom, if you are still on the original suspension, don't worry about anything. The alignment shop will align your wheels to the factory specs, and you'll be fine.
If you are lowered, however, the way to align the rear wheels without a camber kit is to ask the shop to dial in negative toe in the rear. This offsets the lack of rear camber adjustment.
I hope this helps!

Thank you...how much negative are we talking? My last alignment(with A-spec)showed that the shop aligned it to .08 on the left rear and .06 on the right rear. The spec(on their sheet supplied to me afterwards) says 0 to .18positive for the desired range.
I can't give you the exact specs, but the alignment tech will know how much to dial in to ensure even tire wear. Also, I don't know how much you are lowered, and that affects the specs as well.
