Anyone use an electric air pump?
Most of the "service stations" around here are basically
gasoline and fast food dispensers. ie It is difficult to find
a place that dispenses air.
Does anyone have any experiences/recommendations for
a small electric powered air pump for use in maintaining air
pressure in the tires?

I have a Craftsman electric air pump. Works like a charm, takes only seconds to top off a tire that is a bit low on air. It is so easy to fill the tires in your driveway when they are cold, rather than going around looking for some gas station that still has an air pump. Then they will probably charge for the air. The pump cost about $30. I have not used the kind that plugs into the power outlet, but I have heard that they are a little low on power.

I have a Campbell-Hausfield electric air pump that I have used for over 25 years (Cost about $90) and it inflates tires in just a few minutes. I have also had the 12 volt type and they take forever to get 30 to 40 psi into a tire. I don't recommend them unless you plan to keep it in your trunk for trips. I think Sears or your local auto parts store would have a pretty good selection of low-cost 110 volt pumps. Good luck.
