Anyone with Ray's/Volk Rims on a 2006/2007 - TPMS?

Hey guys,
I'm shopping a new set of rollers for spring, and have found a few deals out there on G-games line, specifically the 77S Viao aka Sidewinder.

What's killing me is the TPMS sensors, and how to keep them. Most Ray's come with those crazy extended valve stems, and aren't compatible with the TPMS valve stems.

I found this thread where the Z guys physically "banded" the TPMS sensor to the inside of the wheel, and that would work I guess... but it's not pretty.

http://www.350zforum.com/net/viewmsg...l&msg_id=81287

So...

1) Is anyone running Ray's on a 2006/2007 with TPMS? How?

2) Has anyone attempted the Z guys banding solution? I don't like the hardware he chose to use, the moisture in the air will cause those to rust out quickly. Anyone have a source of stainless steel banding?

3) Any other alternatives (other than "get used to the alarm")? Are there alternative (band based) sensors we could use?

I don't know how these work, but the bands look a little better.

Kennedy, i have a set of maya multi-piece wheels w/ the L shaped valve stem. i was also concerned about keeping the TPMS fully functional. i spoke to a tech at the wheel and tire shop where i'll be purchasing a new set of tires and explained my situation. he said they do the banding solution all the time with no problems. i'll be getting them installed in the next week or two. i'll let you know how it goes

There are NO competent tire shops around me.
Whatever banding solution they offer you, double it. I'll gladly paypal you the cost of the hardware and shipping... and a few bucks for your efforts.

The banding solution is what you see going on with the 350Z.
