8"

There was never a 7.5" for the TL.

if you're inquiring about the A-Spec wheels, they made a 8.5" A-Spec in 2004, later years were made in 8".

So all stock wheels were 17x8 +45.

A-Spec (2004) was 18x8.5 +45.

A-Spec (after 04) was 18x8 +45.

then why are people on ebay showing HONDA SEP numbers to wheels that are 7.5 and avertising them as TL wheels?

They're probably for the tsx but since it's the same bolt patter, they say that it can fit on the TL.

Exactly. And there are TSX versions of the A-Spec rims as well.

8" or 8.5" for the TL.

the 7.5" is for the TSX.

the ad is wrong. people will do anything to sell something.

aspec only. they are rare and discontinued since 2004. same design just wider. if you find them...they are knock offs or beat to hell.

8.5" A-Specs were only available in 2004. Occassionally you will see them for sale in the Black Market here on AZ. However they are very rare and become more so the further from 2004 we get.

I'm assuming for weight.
the aspec wheel is probably heavier than the "base" (includes type-s) wheels

As I mentioned above -

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/8-5-tl-specs-tires-881622/

They look like they are in decent (not perfect) shape in the pix and the price seems pretty good as well.

oh, so you answered your own question.
odd. lol

since the stock wheels are 8inches, .5 more wouldnt be against their rationale. LOL

it could be a combination of weight and cost savings.
but probably more to weight.
