Alignments at...Nissan dealer?
So my local honda mechanic who has his own shop, recommended that I get my alignment done @ at a Nissan dealer on Rockville Pike. Specifically one that sells the GTR. He said they would have a state of the art alignment machine that can handle my lowered car. Anybody with experience using a Nissan dealer? (especially one on 355 in MD)

My mechanic has a nice hunter, but it's on a ramp and wont take lowered vehicles. Others dont do oversized rims. Depending on how good the alignment machines used, they can calibrate your wheels accurately or not.

if you are lowered to the point you can't get the car on the typical ramp of the alignment rack (say at the dealer), it might be best to go to a performance shop that can accomodate that (i know PTuning in manassas can do this-see their website). you can go to any alignment rack, but it seems as though dealers are a little more on top of calibrating their equipment regularly over the box shops. most dealers have the hunter machine. it all comes down to the tech doing the alignment. my dealer went out of their way to actually tape my rims before attaching the alignment equipment on my wheels and tires so as NOT to scratch them. my SA at the time made sure the tech understood NOT to scratch ding or wash the car (verbally) and that included my rims (of course i always bring my car to them freshly washed).

If cost is an issue, theres i shop i go to in lanham (Mr. Automotive). They have the latest hunter alignment machine etc. $60 for alignment service. My car is lowered and never had a problem with going up the machine ramp
here's my current alignment specs ( w/ rear camber kit. Front coming in the spring):

I brought my old challenger to a "we will fix your alignment issues guaranteed" and they saw that I had camber issues. They couldn't fix it because it needed a camber kit and I lol'd because they had to pay for it and install it for me for free! So try to find one of these places
