Free if your car is under warranty. If not, I'd take it to a reputable alignment shop. It'll be cheaper.

I'd say somewhere around $70 for a 4-wheel alignment.

If purchased new, usually in only the first 12K of ownership, similar to most manufacturers.

Lol, alignments are not free if your under the 4 yr.50K warranty. Sure if the car is relatively new and the car doesn't handle right, but its considered more of a maintenance procedure.

Depends on where you go, a corner tire shop is going to be cheaper. A performance geared shop that specializes in autocross prep is most likely going to be more expensive. Since my car is lowered, and I want a highly skilled tech working on my car, I go to a high end reputable shop for alignments. So it end up costing more in my case.

I took my '08 TL-S in for it's first oil change at 6700 miles. The car is 7 months old. I told them it slightly pulls to the left. They wanted to charge me $149.00 for an alignment. I asked if was covered under warranty and they said it was not due to all the pot holes in the Chicago area. This is the dealership where I purchased the car. I told them to forget about servicing my vehicle. I prefer to change my own oil anyway and they're not going to rip me off for something that should have been covered under warranty.
Needless to say, I was not very happy with the service department.

So basically, they are blaming you for the potholes, therefore they want to charge you for something that you pay taxes for? That's ludacris!

$149 for a lifetime alignment at Firestone, $129 if on sale. It can be used at any corporately owned store in the country. I get mine checked/aligned every six months (yes, it's always out)...it has paid for itself several times over considering most places charge $60-70 for an alignment. In fact, I need to go now.

I knew the Acura dealership was trying to rip me off and is the reason I drove my car out of the service bay. I typically do all my own maintenance, but thought I would be a nice guy and let them have some money for an oil change if they were doing the alignment under warranty. There are a couple of Firestone dealers around, I will check out their lifetime alignment deals.

Got mine done at a local high-end service place... it was referred by a few coworkers who said they do a great job... they use some 3D imaging machine to show the camber, toe, caster, etc... supposedly the machine cost like 40K... regardless of what it cost, they only charged me $53, but thats because they didnt do much... my TL only has 20k miles on it, and I only got the alignment done b/c I put the Aspec wheels on and wanted it checked out... I guess if they've gotta do the whole alignment it was 90something...

DJ5-- what dealership you use in Chicago???

Firestone has lifetime...But the problem with people with lifetime alignments they will NOT align your car after you screw around with it. IF your stock height or close to it the will keep your warranty...But if you go that route make sure you are already lowered not afterwards.

Yeah but the thing that sucks is shops like firestone the employees seem clueless. Last time I got an alignment done to my Jeep SRT8 (after I lowered it) it was just a bunch of kids and it sucks because an alignment isnt really something that you can verify was done right (until your tires get chewed up or your car pulls.

I got the lifetime alignment for $99 at Firestone I came in before they closed and bargained the price down. Trust me, they can do $99 without a problem, the $149 is bullshit.
