alignment: before or after?
After--- unless you're not buying tires for another year- then just do the alignment now
Former owner of my car didnt, and wore out the inside of both right tires,
ahh the joys or rotated tires- wear out both on the side with a problem!

Technically it doesn't matter as new tires will not change the alignment. The reason most suggest an alignment after new tires is that if there needs to be a change in settings, a vibration may be felt with the old tires still in place. They have a certain wear pattern, and when the settings are changed, that wear pattern can be the cause of the vibration.
