You should always get an alignment after having your suspension removed. It's good practice and you will have peace of mind not to mention the CYA factor! Cover Your Ass for any warranty work.

Yes, mine was off only a little bit, but you don't want to kill your tires.

any time you modify your suspension, you will need to get an alignment done!

but if you just add wheels.....its ok

I had the A-spec installed and they didn't need to realign my car. To be safe though I had 2 different shops do the free alignment check making sure I gave them the A-spec alignment specs. I know others have had similar experiences with not needing the alignment. See if you can get a free check somewhere and don't let on you have a new suspension or they might take you for a ride.

My alignment was off and needed adjusted after installing A-Spec suspension. I would recommend it. There is also different A-spec suspension settings that are listed in the directions. JUST HAVE THEM BE VERY CAREFUL ON YOUR A-SPEC RIMS THAT THEY DONT DAMAGE THEM WHILE THEY MOUNT THE ALIGNMENT TOOLS TO THE RIM. I would highly recommend mentioning it verbally and possibly even writing it on the sheet you sign before they do the work so they know if they mess them up...they will need to replace them.

My rims got flat spots on them durring the alignment process at both the dealer (made them replace all four rims) and then afterwards when I got the A-spec suspension installed at the body shop at a later date.(they denied it) That way, there is no questions!

I recommend an alignment. My alignment was off after the A-Spec install.

Just because you're car doesn't pull doesn't mean you don't need an alignment. The toe, camber and caster could be off and your car will still drive straight.

Whooaa! Deja Vu. This is the line I got earlier today...

$59.95 for an alignment with a coupon. Then he asked why I thought I needed an alignment. I responded that I installed the ASPEC suspension myself. He said then it's a minimum of 1 hour labor ($75) plus the $59.95 alignment fee.

Is there any good reason for this to be legitimate?

Sounds like a rip-off. At best it's a misunderstanding on their part. They may be assuming that the suspension change has the alignment way off, requiring more work. That won't be the case here.

When I first bought my car the dealer said that it was natural for the 6mt to pull to one side-free alignment . After installing the aspec sus myself the pull is back, headed to the dealer tomorrow for new alignment so not to destroy the new wheels and tires.
