Every 6 months is recommended...but it's totally up to you. Keeping proper tire psi will help keep your tires from being unevenly worn.

Need? Very seldom if ever.

If there are no signs (unusual tire wear, off center steering wheel, pull to one side, etc) and if you haven't crashed over any curbs, speedbumps and/or big pot holes, or lowered your car, you're probably fine.

For peace of mind? Every other tire rotation.

Buy a "lifetime" or "5-year" or "3-year" deal. Check/adjust it every other rotation and it'll pay for itself in no time.

Thanks guys trying to figure out why my tires wore out so bad never told about this even though I have the tires rotated every 4000 miles or so now I have my front tires ruined never told by my dealer that I needed an alignment or anything. My right tire is like gone and the inside of my left tire bald. This I think would have been pretty noticable
for the dealer to see last 2 times I had it in the acura dealer.

Lots of things can cause premature wear on your tires, alignment is just one factor. Have you had your car put on the rack? Is it out of alignment?

Question about alignment. Every time I have gotten one I don't have issues.

The Certified 06 TL I bought in Dec 08 was slightly off on the alignment. Sometimes it felt very minimal, other times it pulled worse. I took it in and they did a 4 wheel alignment, they told me it was SLIGHTLY OFF. I drove off and it was the same??? Could it be the tires??? Like I said, I have never had issues after an alignment. ???????

Naturally, the dealer should have informed you of the condition of the tires, but it's a lesson learned that you'll need to keep an eye out for any uneven tire wear.

A vehicle is very unlikely to need an alignment unless components have become worn or damaged. Keep an eye on the tires for any uneven wear. No uneven wear, no need for the possibility of someone setting the alignment specs incorrectly, or having an alignment rack that is out of spec. You might be worse off than when the car was delivered to the shop.

If the alignment was so far out that a pull was noticed, the vehicle would "pull" continually, not on and off. Maybe what you feel is what is known as "Tramlining". The effect of having high performance tires and the way they react to various road surfaces. Under certain conditions it might even feel that someone has turned the steering wheel while you were driving.

If it doesn't pull to one side or show signs of uneven wear on the tires then you don't need one. Regular alignments are for those that don't recognize the signs. I just wasted $90 when I had my tires replaced.
