Akuza Sublime 18s

What do u guys think? They are 18x8.5 +45 offset with 235/40/18 Toyo Proxes FZ4. Waiting for probably mid April to put them on. Did a trial test, one front, one rear to see if they fit and no problems even with comptech drop. I think the street will be the real test.

Thanks, I'm dying to get them on the car. But I'd rather play it safe and wait a few weeks for them to fix all the damn potholes.

Yeah, I tried them out at the tire place before buying them, both front and rear and there was no rubbing issues. Even had someone sit in the back while i pushed down on the car to see if it would rub but nothing.

I don't know about that...don't make sense to me..I had a 18x7 wheel with the same offset and it rubbed with my H&R sport drop..I don't know your call and your car..not mine. Have fun.

Sounds like your fit test didn't involve driving around the block huh? Call the place you purchased those from and ask what their refund policy is. Chances are you'll rub so see if they'll exchange for a higher offset/narrow width setup.

I guess there's a chance it could rub but if u think about it the new wheel setup is the same circumference as the old one, only difference is the width by 2" (1"on either side). During my fitment test I turned the wheel in either direction to see if there was any rubbing issues and didn't find any. I can't see the backs causing any problems except maybe if I have 3 people back there.

I agree that driving the car is different but the guy at the tire place assured me that I won't have any problems and I've dealt with this place before so if there are any issues, they'll take care of me. They're going to install them on the car once I'm ready so I'll drive around their lot before leaving.

Besides, I've seen other people in the forums running the same width on their wheels with a drop and no issues. Some even had 19"s. We'll see, I just can't wait till I put them on.

Got 18" Sublimes on my MDX and have gotten all kinds of compliments. Might move them over to the 04 TL when it comes in.
