aftermarket wheels?

I came across a site called "wheelership.com" That has the OEM style waffles for the Type-S, for 112.00. Anyone out there buy any of these? The previous owner of my car let brake dust bake into the rims that are on the front of the car now. They are much duller and have some dark spots baked onto them. I was thinking of buying at least one to see if it is of decent quality.https://www.wheelership.com/new-17-x...FQqtaQodYr0A2w

^good return policy. so, grab the wheel and check out the quality. if you like it, mount it. if you dont like it, send it back.

Beware of aftermarket Replica replacement wheels as they tend to not fit properly over the Brembo calipers. Most of those listings on ebaY warn of this. If you need to replace them, go with refurbished OEM wheels.

DMZ, I saw you had purchased some wheels from Wheelership in the past and I'm looking at possibly getting a set of Type-S replica/aftermarket wheels from them similar to the OP. Would you not recommend? Your earlier posts were positive and this one a bit different.

I have a set of the Type S replicas from Wheelership on my 2004 6MT. Perfect fit and balance no problem, and fit over Brembo calipers. I wanted a factory look and these were priced right. The car was 13 years old when I bought them and I didn't want to spend a fortune on wheels. I messed up doing a U turn and totally mangled one of my original rims (totally fitting as I'm totally OCD about this stuff). They are probably a few pounds heavier than the factory wheels. No complaints at all.

ive heard and seen the color being slightly different on the aftermarket type s wheels, so thats something to consider. idk about the ones from that site in particular, but theres a 90% chance all of these oem replicas are coming from the same factory anyway

I'd bet more like a 0% chance.

Given the number of reports which claim the aftermarket wheels do not clear the Brembo brakes, and the number which actually do, I'm having a hard time thinking non-oem wheels are all from the same factory.
