Advice on suspension

Hi members,

I have a 2005 TL and the ride has become really rough lately. I believe this is due to my stock suspension.

What would you suggest I do to revamp my suspension? Should i just replace all the old stock parts?

Any better aftermarket parts I should put on? Thanks for your advice.

What are you looking for? Comfort? You hardly won't find softer than the stock suspension. Softer usually translates to a more comfortable ride.

Do you want a lower ride height? This comes with the price of comfort as your suspension needs to be stiffer since it has less travel.

As polobunny said, it all depends on what you are looking to do. If you want a system that won't be adjustable but will have OEM ride characteristics, a quality strut and spring combo would probably be best for you. If you want adjustable ride height and a more sporty setup, you would probably be better off with a set of coilovers (maybe the Street Advance?). We are having awesome sale pricing on our XLR8 ISC N1 coilovers for $799 plus shipping right now, as well as great pricing on all of our TEIN coilovers.

I replaced my original stock suspension with New OEM Type S suspension. I also felt the ride wasn't what it should be and my rear camber was already out of spec and wasn't too excited to purchase a rear camber kit to get it back in spec. I was looking for a nice replacement that would improve the ride & handling without messing with height and comfort (Important here in MI) and that is exactly what i got Once i replaced the shocks my rear camber went back in spec so the original rears were definitely worn. Plus rear shocks for the 6mt were 200$ more than type S so i was not going to go to base suspension with that price difference. But as polobunny said its all in what you want this is just my Best of Luck with your decision! Hope this helped.

My guess is somethings worn.
I got my '04 TL MT recently. Real cushy. No signs of misbehavior (except too much lean :-)
