4 bolt rim??

I was just about to order my rims and then I realized something might be wrong. The rims that I want to order have a 4 bolt pattern and I have no idea if they would fit for an 06 TL.

http://www.carid.com/msr-wheels/045-112689.html

Once you get on this site, its the second rims for the pictures the dark one with a 4 bolt pattern. Does anyone think they would fit for my TL?

Is this a serious post? No, they will not work.

Also, those wheels are garbage. When you get wheels, buy forged wheels. They're more money for a reason. They won't bend or crack when you hit pot holes and other crazy stuff you may unexpectedly come across while driving.

to be honest you should have already knew that we cannot do a 4 lug wheel. But from what i understand about that site is that they make each set of wheels when they are ordered. Do i believe that? Not really but if you look throught those pics, they have 5 and 4 lug design. Contact the company and ask them directly if you want to order the rims.

there are different lugged rims and different lug patterns...
4 lugs are older hondas
5 lugs are newer and won't fit.
now, I'll blow your mind...the newer TL's have 5 lugs but a different width the holes and won't fit older TL rims.

Damn you decided to go all out on me and not take it easy. So where do you "suggest" I get good rims from?

Soundmaster28 do some research. You will be fine. Through trial and error you will find everything you need. Your better off just going to a rim store and test fitting some rims. Listen to what thedingo said about quality wheels but IDK if your ready for forged rims. Just get your bolt pattern right first.

I wasnt trying to be mean and appologize if it sounded like that. I was just stating that the company looks like they will make the bolt pattern to whatever fits your car. If you want those rims, get them, I know how hard it is to find wheels that you like, it took me over 6 months to find the ones i wanted. Contact the company and make sure that they do the lug pattern to match your car, they also do not state the offset, so they most likely make it to fit the vehicle you want them for.

Also, I think you probably quoted the wrong person, becasue i never said anything about the wheels being good or bad.

Good, quality wheels are forged from a block of billitt aluminum. They will be much more solid and resistant to bending and cracking. Wheels, like these, that are 4 for $500 are cheap for a reason. Save yourself the anguish of buying more than once and get a good set of wheels, then hang on to them. I personally love my iForged wheels, but CCW and HRE are also wheels that I recommend as I have personal experience with all of these companies and their customer service departments.

Look for wheels that have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. That will help you narrow it down.

It looks like some of those wheels are 4 lug and others 5 lug. I think they look good . Just get a 5 lug pattern wheel from there?

yea not worth buying wheels unless they are forged, everything else is shit and will bend, crack, explode on you. I only ride on forged wheels and never any of those things have happened to me.

I was actually thinking that there is a huge gray area that's between the forged stuff and what OP is asking about.

Needing forged also depends on needing super light weight, the roads you're driving down, the type of tires you got on em (cheap wheels with a 70 series tire are probably fine)...to suggest going to HRE's...JEEZ!

Try
XXR's...they are a cheaper alternative but still seem to be decent quality. And of course...5 by 114 as mentioned.

"Due to the immense pressure that the billet undergoes during the forging process, the metal is less porous compared to cast wheels and has an interlocking and aligned grain structure. Although this can only be viewed under a microscope, this structure results in improved strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion and oxidation. Due to the more consistent forging, the same structural integrity can be achieved using less material in a forged wheel versus a similarly designed cast wheel"

sarcasm, eh? (because you're canadian)

the point to be made was regarding a more significant structural integrity. i should have known to just let it be.. carry on.

While I do agree that getting forged wheels is an excellent idea, I think there are other wheels (that are not forged) that a person can get that are excellent quality. I had Enkei EKM3 wheels before and I've hit some nasty pot holes here (NYC) and they were solid wheels, never bent on me. I have RPF1's now and I've hit some nasty potholes as well with these and they have stood strong. So while forged wheels are great, it doesn't mean you can't get great quality cast wheels.

^^^I think that was the point most of us were trying to make. No doubt the forged are the bomb...but also super expensive. I will also say I have work emotions, and I've hit some serious potholes and have never had an issue either.
