Is 25mm spacer too much for stock?

im thinking about ordering a set of 25mm spacer for the rear wheels, is it too much? also what do you guys recommend? and how about the front? the fender will be rolled or shaved and i will have it lowered. i just dont have the funds for the wheels i want so ill be rolling on stockies for a while. just cant stand how sunk in the wheels are.

My fronts were slammed with 15mm spacers w/ a minor pull. it constantly rubbed on a fender tab, so i took it off after 3 minutes of driving. my rears were slammed as well with rolled fenders, and the 15mm was just fine. I think you'll be safe with 25 in the rear if its rolled full flat and w/ some camber

dont put more than a 15mm spacer in the rear, you will have one hell of a time trying to tuck

I have 15mm in the back and I dont have rolled fenders. Also 1.5" drop with 5 ppl in the car I don't rub at all and it seems like another 10mm would fit. I was thinking the same thing about getting 25mm for the back or 20 even. And the putting my 15mm in the front.

sorry but it seems like I only have 2 pics of my spacers installed and they are not the best.

Rear with 15mm (20-25 would have been much nicer and more flush)

Front with 15mm

no sorry I didnt take any pics really but those that I posted. And I just took them off for the winter. I am 1.5" lowered all around and there is some negative chamber off course. I think that with 25mm spacer the wheels would be flush with the rear fender. If I dont get wheels next summer I will get a 25mm spacer for the rear and use the 15mm up front

Did you add longer studs on the rear? If you did how hard was it replace them? I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Also did you get hubcentric spacers?

My current setup I have 15mm spacers in the front, and 20mm spacers in the rear. Its perfect! I'm dropped with koni yellows/h&r sports. Fronts down to the lowest perch, backs up one perch. System is in the trunk, and with the car full of ppl, it doesn't dub, oh fenders are not rolled btw.

Stick with some ibach spacers, as I have that and project kicks. Just my opinion, they are a little cheaper and great quality. You can get the spacers with studs already pressed in them, so you will not have to worry about the length of our studs.

^^^Pics please...

Also with the 20mm rear spacers, did the stock studs stick out past the spacer face??....my aftermarket rims dont have the extra holes to accomodate the protruding stock studs.

Yes they did, you will need to grind the studs down. I had the do that cause my rims were the same, no extra holes.

Don't have much...this is the best I got right now.

^^^^So you have 20mm and you had to file down a bit.....how much would you say was protruding?......do you think 25mm would cover it without filing?

I'm actually over seas right now until the holiday's. I can get you more pics of what my stock rims look like on there if you can wait. My car is completly murdered out, so Its kind of hard seeing the spacing lol, you will get a better idea with a pic of my stockies.

As for the studs, I think I grinded off somewhere about 3-5 threads I have pics of that as well on my phone, but like I said I wont be able to post that till I get back.

I'm dropped enough and with the spacers on, my rear camber is -2.6 - -2.8 in the rear. Just some food for thought, I think you should stick with 20mm, becasue the stocks are very close! It also give it a better looking stance, should have came that way from factory

man just get them and try them on. you're not lowered so 20mm would be flushed. I'm 1.5" lower and there is some negative camber so 25mm would make mine flush. spacers are like 100$

OK....i couldn't wait and i got 20mm spacer in the rear....installed them today.

Love the look (pics coming soon)....i think it makes the rims look just a tad bigger and definately makes the stance look "thick".....i think 25mm would have been too much.

Best thing about it is since i used Ichiba V2 hubcentric spacers there is no wobble at speed....factory feel.

So now what?....get some for the front.

Smallest Ichiba V2 spacer available for us is 15mm...i need to measure to make sure this size will make it look right...if 15mm is fine i'll be ordering this week.

Again, pics upcoming...stay tuned

Guys,

I have recently purchased some gunmetal aspecs so i no longer can use the 20mm hubcentric spacers i recently bought. Unfortunately from the moment i put on the spacers to the moment i put on the Aspecs was so short i neglected to take pics. So i have no before/after pics to contribute so you guys could see how they fit but i can tell you they looked GREAT! Perfectly flush, no rubbing, no wobble...just a nice wide stance...should've come that way from the factory.

Anyways below is a link to my thread where i'm selling the spacers....if any of you guys are interested just PM me.

hey guys. I recently purchased a pair of 20mm spacers from MAS(an Azine member). I put them on the rear and they looks great with my stockies. The wheels sit very far out, with a drop they would look perfect. Unfortunately i cannot afford to drop my car due to the design of my driveway. These Ichiba V2 spacers are very light in weight and seem very sturdy. Here are the pics:

No rub no vibration at all with stock height. Please advice me how to tighten the spacers to the hubs because when i try to torque the bolts, the wheels would spin with handbrake fully up, and i dont have anybody to press the brake pedal for me.

I have a question guys, do the stock wheels have the spacing on the back for the stock studs to go in with Ichiba V2 20mm Spacers? I havent checked, just wanted to know, thanks.

I wouldn't go any greater than 15mm because the wear effects on your suspension components. 10-15 would look just fine

15-20mm spacers should not hurt your suspension any more than 5-15mm spacers would. In fact you could probably argue that 5-15mm spacers are harder on your ride than 15-20mm because the 15-20mm spacers we're mentioning are hubcentric. The smaller spacers are usually not hubcentric which means vibration at higher speeds.

just my

ok now that I am on stock 17" wheels I want to do this.. Plus I am close to slammed right now..
So this is the ideal setup?

Ichiba Hubcentric spacers:
- Front - 15mm
- Rear - 20mm

MAS you didnt have to touch your factory studs right? The wheels with the spacers cleared the factory studs no problem? According to the previous posts it looks like they did.. Just want to make sure before I look for this stuff..

btw: CJ0920 your car is SICK murdered out.. if I had black I would do the same thing? You gonna tint your signals on your mirrors? rims look great also!
