255/40-18 on Aspec?
#42
I have 245/40/18 on my gunmetal 18x8.5 wheels and yesterday I saw some slight rub marks on the suspension arms. These are the rear suspensions. Nothing big, but it looked like a very very slight rub.
Do you think that even with 245/40's I'm gonna have trouble going to a car wash with the rails? Have to go wash my car soon but I'm a little worried about it.

What brand and treadwear would you go with for maximum quietness with a 245/40 18?
Also, have you figured out where the rubbing is on the tire? Is it the width or the diameter that is the problem?

Do the 265/35/18 tires fit on the 18x8 2005-2006 TL A-SPEC rims without rubbing? What about rubbing from the lowering of the car due to the A-SPEC suspension? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

265/35/18 Has anyone tried these on 05/06 TL A-SPEC
Just wondering if the width of these tires would cause rubbing on our cars? My biggest concern was the 265mm on only our 8 inch A-SPEC rim width. I spoke with Discount Tire here in Michigan and they said that it would definitely fit fine and that the speedometer would not be affected at all. I have 2 spare front tires for my 98 Supra TT 6-spd that are this size, but I did not want to take the chance having some young kid damage the painted finish on my A-SPEC rims while trying to dismount the OEM tires, remount 265/35/18 tires, dismount 265/35/18 tires and than remount the OEM tires again. The winters are brutal here on painted surfaces due to the salt covered roads. I was just curious if any one has actually done this set up on their cars, and have any real ride time in there car to note rubbing conditions.

I have 245/40s on my '04 A-spec and was told by the techs at the dealership not to go to 255s. But I love the pic of those 255s here. Am curious if you get any rubbing whatsoever, cuz I'll go that direction if not...
