215/45/18..ANY RUBBIN when SLAMMED
Jokin...not lookin to slam too hard. Just got some OZ Superleggeras :smokin:...with Bridgestone Potenza S-02s 215 45 ZR 18. By next year I might want to try to fit some 235s on there...(we'll see... 215 will do for now) NEED to lower my car immediately if not sooner. I am just curious if anyone out there has any experience with lowering at this tire/rim size and will I have trouble trying to fit a bigger tire.
What is the best spring kit to do the job niceeeeeeee.

O.G.
I have 215/45/17 and it is slammed with no problems. I don't know how big of a difference but it shouldn't be much since it is only one size up. Then again I can be wrong.
BTW, I am getting 225 tires soon.

Congrats on the new wheels! Where's the pics?!
Tire size could determine whether or not you will rub but more important is the width and offset of your wheels. If the wheels aren't properly fitted you are sure to rub regardless of tire size. What's the specs of those OZ's?

What's the offset?
One good thing you've got going is that you went with 215's - stretching those onto 8" wheels will narrow your overall width a bit which would help compensate for a low offset wheel.
So where's the pics?!

Should just be some mild plastic trimming. No need to roll the fenders. Your sidewall width goes from 4.2" stock to 3.8" with the 215/45/18's. Circumfrence is almost identical. Your offest is +45. Good choice on the wheel! I've got the same only 235/40/18's. Eibach, Comptech, H&R all should be fine for the drop.
