no problem... the wheelwells are HUGE on the 04...however the iForged or HRE would look sick, I might have to wait too long, and im not very patient =\ so being that I can get the axis mods for like half the price of the others, i might just do that. i mean the rim looks pretty damn good for being a 20 inch rim and under 2500 w/tires

see my post above..... oh and iForged are HRE's, to some extent.

I personally don't like those rims. offset is off, too much chrome, and to much bling. I've already had measurements made for my car from iForged. it's going to take some time and some money, but I'm still debating. I'm going to have 20x8.5 Aero "High Polish" with a 51mm offset made for my car. the price is what's holding me back. With tires I'm just over 4k.

this will slap any 19" wheel around anyday

Iforged and HRE are too different companys......HRE has been in the wheel making business for many years. Although they both make forged mutipiece wheels, I would take HRE's over Iforged anyday.

I know they're different companies, and I would take HRE's over iForged just because they've been around longer, however you must've missed when I said, to some extent. if you look at the models from iForged and HRE, they're identical.

Compare:

HRE 545R (not polished)

iForged Aero (polished)

again, pretty much the same ish

Faston20s:

I have a 5-series but planning on getting new TL. I have 20" BMW Alpina style on the 5. Plan to get 20s on TL if can fit without any rubbing whatsover.

Basically, you're saying you researched this throughly and I-forged told you that 20x8.5 w/50 offset fits?

What tires are you saying work: 225/35-20 (Nittos) or 245/30-20 (Dunlop 9000s), or both?

I know 245/35-20 probably will not work, i run this on my 5 but i believe it has more room than the TL, plus by the way i run 20x9 and 20x10 on the 5, with 275/30-20 in the rear.

that ride sounds pretty phat.... post some pics. iForged told me 20x8.5 with a 51mm offset. he said i can go as low as 45mm so i can a bigger lip, but the difference was 3/4inch, the lip is big as it is with the 51mm offset. it looks like the pic above. I was wasn't sure what tire size to get and I forgot to ask iForge when i sent the paper in. i would think it's more on the 225 side being that you can't have too much tire if you're going to be slammed on 20's

oh :o well if u do, try to go with something lower...

if 18x8.5 +45 fits then 20x8.5 +45 HAS to fit. after all, im pretty sure acura desgined the wheel to go up as much as possible (should you hit a big ass bump or something) without rubbing so it should work.

you sure a 51 offset will work on the new tl?...stock is 45...as with having to low of an offset you can also have to high of an ofset...if the offset is to high the wheel can hit the suspension...

iForged told me 51mm to be perfect, but they havent tested it on a new TL. he also said I can do 45mm for a bigger lip with a chance of rubbing, which really i don't care about rubbing since i've always fixed that problem one way or another in my others cars

The pics on the 2nd page are my car. I believe they are 7.5" wide and +44 offset, maybe +42 I am not positive.

FASTON20s: I-forged 20x8.5, 45 offset

How big of a lip does I-forged say can fit with 20x8.5 45 offset? 2inch? 2 1/2inch? 3inch? 3 1/2inch?

I have 4inch lip on my rear wheels right now but even i-forged probably can't find a way to work magic on TL b/c such a low width high offset application.

And, what did they say about brembos clearance issue, doesn't that reduce the lip size?

before I even continue I must say that car is pretty phat, let alone the rims.... however, he did say the lip will be about 2 - 2 1/2 inches. I did mention it was the 6-speed with brembo brakes and he just said it wont be a problem...

i believe he mentioned i can do as low as 225 and no more than 245. i may stay in between and do 235/35/20, or even 225, it will be less rubbing issues.

We got the 19" Axis Se7en Mods... regular 2.5" lip in front..3.25" lip in rear..

front are 45 offset rear are 40 offset..

with these wheels.. for the front you will need to add spacers.. approx-21-23mm for clearance.. I installed 25mm = 1". they do stick out a hair in the front, more than I would like but overall they look sweet!

I measured the clearance I have without a drop and it's close to 3"..with 245/35 Falken SP 115.

Right now I'm looking at springs and trying to determine which one will be the best. I'm hesistant to get the comptechs because of the 1" drop... right now I'm looking at sportlines or h/r race.

after inspecting the wheel wells of this car you can definately go larger.. the fenders look nice and rolled from the factory.

just my 2cents

iforged do no make chrome wheels due to weight factors (they make them weigh a lot heavier). I think you're talking about fully polished. i pm'd you with the price.
