2005 Acura TL with A-Spec rims

I was at my dealer yesterday and was informed that the 2004 Acura Tl's 18 inch rims (the gun metal) is discontinued and instead the 2005 will have the same design but with a Black Chrome finish and i got the chance to go inside and see them, and the only word i have is, they are incredible.
That means that 05 TL will have a set of 18 instead of 17 and nother new thing is for the A-SPEC package you'll get to chose from two rim desings

You guys can check with your dealers and see if they'll allow you to see the black chrome rims.

Got me wondering the same thing. The acura web site says chrome look: "New paint process creates real chrome look"
I was thinking it would the the same finish as the Aspec TSX rims.

The inside of the wheel looks like unfinished or painted aluminum. That seems a bit odd - maybe it's the lighting. Are these 8" or 8.5" wide?

they should be 8 like the A-SPEC rims and Acura did a good job with the sticking rim edge, as now the tire lip covers the rim and prevents it from scratches.
And here is a treat
I've just installed a set of Chrome Ronjon Inspyre 19X 8.5 on my TL, with Nitto tires 245/35/19, and also in the album is pictures of the Black Chrome rims.

Hope the link works

Wow very nice, so thats "black chrome" so to say.. I may like it better than regular chrome, I dont want my car looking fuckin obnoxious like a damm guido, maybe these rims can tone it down a bit compared to the traditional chrome.

I have to go to the dealer and see these.

Nice post.

I actually ran into Qatar yesterday evening and hailed him down. After introducing myself, I proceeded to check out his car and all I have to say is that it is one sweet looking ride. He had just got his RonJon wheels installed and they looked really nice against the NBP. Not to mention the LCD screens, blue interior lights, DVD player, etc....definitely one tricked out car!

Qatar - thanks for taking the time to show me the car...I'll be calling you once my '05 rolls in.

What did you say the rims cost you? and how much for the tires? Did you go with the tires Acura usually puts on those rims?

Sup, your in White Plains? we are in Yonkers, just downtown of you guys. If you decide to go with 18" or 19", you should consider swing by the warehouse to see the wheels in person, they are a nice alternative to the acura wheels and they too fit OEm 235/40/18 tires that come with the TL A=spec.

I stopped by Radley and they had both colors of the 2005 A-Spec rims and a new 17" chrome optional rim. does anyone have info/thread about that wheel, it has many straight spokes and has a similar finish to the black chrome.
