18x9 wheels...what tires?
Does anyone know If an 18x9 wheel with a 255/35 tire would work on a tl 6spd?
A tire distributor is saying that it will deff rub but I am skeptical.
They are MRR HR2 wheels 18x9 255/35/18 35 offset.
what is the best tire size to go with with an 18x9 wheel?
I thought 235/40 was too skinny, 245/40 sounds better and 255/35 sounded best but I am not sure if it would work.

Is a 245mm tire 245mm's no matter the width wheel?
I see that people are running 255mm tires on their 17's with no rubbing...If people are running a 255/40/17.. A 255/35/18 is the exact same diameter, circumferecne, revolutions per mile etc.

not vtech... VTEC!!!
Check your offset and make sure it's less than 55.
I am running 18x9 wheels and the tires barely clears the suspension. Any closer you would need spacers.

It is an 18x9 255/35/18 35 offset. Are you running a 255mm tire?

Do you think that a 255/35 would handle better than a 245/40? Does the 235 compare with the 245?
235/40 is closest to stock wheel diameter, 255/35 is next, then 245/40... all within 1.5% of oem diameter
Just trying to figure out the best combiantion for looks/performance

I know that the smallest width tire that you can put on a 8.5" rim is 235, so 255 proably is the smallest width you can put on a 9" wheel.......
Any reason why you would want a 9" rim???
go for a 8" or 8.5" rim and avoid all of these dam problems

A wheel distributor has the wheel I want at an insanely cheap price but only has the 18x9. He said 245/40 35 offset would work perfect on that wheel on my 6spd tl
